Haven't heard anything recently on Ryan Rigby's status but he probably is the only one injured that could come back. The others are Tommy John stuff. He is our drop down guy that could get us some outs but I doubt he gets back.

State has basically nobody proven after Pilk. Makes the strategy in the regional interesting. Wonder if they hold him for game 2

Article in paper this morning re: available pitchers and Rigby is not mentioned so I assume he is still nursing a groin injury. Maybe since he is a right handed, drop down that the push leg is even more critical than a conventional delivery???? Not sure. But apparently, we have 6 pitchers that can go. Only way to do it is breeze through the winner's bracket. Then, we would have the honor of being cannon fodder for LSU.

That this team is even in a regional is amazing. After the first SEC weekend, when Arky swept us, most everyone threw in the towel for the season. Then, low and behold, we scratched and clawed and found ways to win close games.
We certainly lost a number of midweek games that we would have normally won because of the lack of pitching.
So here we are in a regional. Our team can certainly have some success in Hattiesburg this weekend. Pitching is a huge factor, however timely hitting is probably the most important ingredient in a Regional. Typically the games are going to be close and the two out RBI's are crucial to winning.
We will see what happens.

This regional is loaded with offensive firepower in a hitters park. USM knocks the cover off the ball and USA averages like 8 runs per game. Going to be a fun weekend at the Pete

I haven't heard of anybody coming back. State is hoping that Gordon will get the same outing that he had against Florida.
