A lot of the pitchers left early and we have a team of players that were recruited for small ball and a lot of "contact" pitchers.
Well with the ball change the contact pitchers like Ross Mitchell who get a lot of movement but don't have speed are no longer good pitchers. They get less movement so that equals less strikeouts, and before when a batter made contact it was usually a ground ball out, it now is a harder hit base hit.
So we don't have any power strikeout pitchers and we don't have any power hitters to make up for it. Cohen will have to adjust how he recruits now

And should have left after year 4

Wes Rea should have def stayed with football. For a guy his size he should be dropping bombs at least. Throw breaking balls at his knees all day and that's all she wrote

Exactly, Rea doesn't have the temperament for football and may have never been healthy enough to contribute much. I can tell you that he is sick of playing baseball and looking forward to having free weekends to go fishing.

Wes is a good guy. Not sure why his raw power hasn't translated to college, but he's still having a really good year. Hopefully he's able to end his career on a high note.

Poor coaching. Cohen can't develop. He relies more on a gimmicky system like the Hunchback of David Wade does with football. They want guys to fit a system and don't give two shits (or hunch's) about developing the kids for a successful career or life.

Never mind. It is impossible to have anything close to a real discussion on this board without punk arse trolls littering the place. I'm out.

I wouldn't say that...state has had some high draft picks as of late now that may just be that certain kid just having it or he might have developed them
