Regardless of who we loss to, who we beat. The pollsters had us ranked for over half the season and have us finished the season being ranked. In fact, the only 4 loss team to be ranked. Apparently our schedule on who we played, we we beat, who we loss to, is enough for them, to keep us there. I don't think you normally see a ranked team traveling to the Music City bowl. I know back in your prime time days with Duece, you all liked the Music City alot, but don't remember you being a ranked team.

I would think the ChikFilA folks would prefer an up-and-comer with an excited fanbase longing for the chance to make a bowl trip vs. asking S.C. fans to make a return trip.
But, we've seen that logic doesn't always rule these selections just as it certainly doesn't rule Slive and Emmert. But, then again, Slive has been openly ignoring, at best, incompetence in his officiating staff for some time so I guess it really isn't surprising that he is openly ignoring the auctioning of junior college and high school athlete to the highest banker...er bidder.

The thing is, that was ten years ago and there were about 8 less bowls then. So yea the Music City was a lil bigger deal then. I think it took the 3rd place Big East team, which was a top 25 WVA team who kicked our arse.
Then a skinny RS Freshman named Elisha came in and threw 3 4th qtr tds to make it a game. That game was so fricking cold and not fun to watch for 3 qtrs.

I agree. Nothing State can do about it now. If it is the MCB, make the best of it. You deserved better, but it is what it is. Have fun, travel safe. I'll be in Las Vegas...
