If our college would lead, our students could read.

I think (hope) the Rebels finally get the late game monkey off their back and win 38-35.

Do me a favor tomorrow when you're passing the bowl of mashed potatoes... '68 game, 17-17 tie and State finished 0-8-2, Archie's soph( first varsity yr). Ole Miss scored with about 3:00 left to tie it up. Ask those gathered how much Vaught gave to going for two and did they have a chance for a fg at the end?

No matter what has happened the past 3 weeks, our guys won't have any trouble "getting up" for such a big game in our home stadium.

The EGG Bowl is just another game to OM players. Houston Nutt said it himself. Plus most of the OM team is from out of state and don't understand the importance of it.

Mullen stresses it big time and our players know how important it is.

Has traffic been a bitch this week? I try to avoid Tupelo during holiday season but Sun-Kai is closing and I need to eat it before it does.

So.... Up to this point, only one person thinks State will pull the upset outside of the MSU faithful?

I agree with the Houston Nutt part. He did not understand the rivalry in any way whatsoever. But Freeze is from MS, he understands the rivalry well. The fact that bowl elgibility is on the line assures me that the guys will be ready. Should be a close game and could go either way, but I don't see either team winning by more than 7.

Which is why Nutt is no longer our coach. Freeze gets it, and is making sure our players get it

Besides, bowl eligibility > egg bowl, so the out of state players who you say don't get the Egg bowl (which is a stretch to say but whatever) are still playing for something anyway

Honestly, it really hasn't. That's subject to change though with Friday being Black Friday.
