Honestly, with how good they looked in the conference opener, I'd say that, provided the ball bounces in their favor, they are championship contenders this year. I mean, I'd rather Mississippi State compared to the Tennessee Volun-tears.

Mississippi State should be excited for baseball this year. That lineup was popping the ball all over the place against last weekend. That being said, I would not be surprised if they finished middle of the pack in the SEC. This is a tough lead and every weekend is a battle.

shite, that means nothing in the grand scheme of things. We finished in the lower half in 2022 and won a natty

Time will tell. So much of it these days is avoiding your pitching staff getting decimated by injuries. Just need to stay healthy and we’ll do well.

We will need our Ace back if we want to stay ranked.

It just shows you the volatility of a SEC schedule …one injury can derail everything…..one good weekend can pogo a shitty team into being a ranked team.

Hell, our first 8 games, we had 8 extra basehits total….honestly was having trouble getting the ball out of the infield.

If We get Dohm back to 100 and nail down a closer, State will be a post season club. Long way to go.

middle of the pack would be a huge upgrade and welcomed THIS season. its been a while since we sniffed the top 25.

We were mississing arguably our best starter on the mound this weekend. he has been really good and was 3-0 before he had a little arm issue a couple weekend ago. Things are pointing to him getting the start at A&M tomorrow.

What a wild two months that was. Started out with Fire Bianco threads every weekend series and ended with a Title. You never would have guessed it at the midpoint of the conference season.

I am super skeptical still. They’re better than the last two years but that’s not saying much. The LSU series win came from nowhere, a week ago this team was struggling against a bad nonconference schedule.

If they somehow win a series in College Station or Gainesville I’ll be super impressed and a lot closer to believing. Right now I think they’re just an NCAAT bubble team. Which is much better than the last two years but may not be enough to save Lemonis. I think he’s gotta get back in the NCAAT to even have a chance of staying.

State looked good but LSU played like dog shite which was uncharacteristic. Hard to tell from that series what’s going to happen. I think LSU rebounds and takes 2/3 from the gators

You’re going to see Tennessee April 12-14 in Knoxville. I’m Sorry the Vols touched you where it hurts.

Time will tell. I'm still not sold. We do seem to have some grit and not just lay down and bitch out like the last 2 years.

Don't forget we took the series in Baton Rafghanistan last year and look where we ended up.

21 2-out hits isn’t sustainable over the long haul (in a 3 game series)

Worked for em against LSU
