One of his kids is committed to Tennessee.
This all seems to stem from State offering that kid today. I'm guessing this coach is either an Ole Miss alum or huge fan. Either way his public response is odd.

I can only remember MSU signing one from them and that was like 10 years ago. JC Brignone. I think he was a DT and turned into an OL center. He was pretty damn good. A former HS wrestler and weight lifter. That's the only kid I can think of and no idea who the coach was at the time there. He wasn't highly recruited but turned out to be pretty darn good.

I understand it's complicated but it's never good to piss off an in-state HS coach. Derek Dooley managed to make HS coaches here hate us and we paid for it. Who knows what might've happened with Jalen Ramsey or Von Bell (who was a UT fan) were it not for Dooley pissing off TN HS coaches and neglecting our in-state best recruits?

but coach freeze is not neglecting the best in-state recruits...just recruits from St Stanislaus, and just this year, so far.

Their TE is committed to TN. We are loaded at TE.

I don't reckon we need a qb either...not sure what we could do to fix it

I can tell by this guy's bracelet count I shouldn't take him seriously

We don't have good luck getting kids away from Memphis.

We never get players from the Coast. The coast trash is run by LSU bandwagon fans. The kid is a bum at QB and plays for a shitty all male catholic school. I don't think Hugh or Ole Miss really cares if St. staus is mad.

Lol wut. The kid has thrown for over 11,000 yards and hasn't even played his senior season yet. Not quite bum status. Also, that shitty school's record--not so shitty when you actually look at it:
SSC entered the division standings in football in 1990 and have advanced to the state playoffs in 1990, 1998, 2002-04, 2006-11 and 2012-14. They have a playoff record of 14-12 with three Division 8-4A titles (2004, 2009, 2013), two Class 4A South State championships (2009, 2014) and one Class 4A state championship (2009). They just lost the 2015 state title game, btw.
The coach has def gone full retard letting OM get in his head, though.

Kid is not a bum. Dude can sling it. Obviously Freeze made some promises and didn't come through. If he wasn't certain about bringing these kids on board than he probably shouldn't be pumping false hope into their fb coach. That coast "trash" area is the best part of Mississippi. Im assuming youre quite jealous?

Both of these kids are good ball players. Chase has great hands and can go up and get it. But ole miss has 3 tight ends committed from this past class. Brennan is a good qb but a lot of his yards are yac from his receivers. He also takes the snap 7 yards back. I think he will have a good career as a non power 5 qb. Also how is he going to react when butch does what butch does and pulls chase offer which I pray doesn't happen cause he is a good kid cause someone better comes along. Also does anyone remember the last great ssc qb that the coaches demanded gets a sec offer. He went to state then to jail then to ut Martin. He goes by the name Dylan Favre.

Some HS coaches get a little big for their britches. I understand looking out for your players, but colleges shouldnt' feel obligated to recruit a kid just because he's in the state. Ultimately it's about what's best for these high school KIDS and pissing off the home team is doing them a disservice.
Reminds me of a few years back where we had a recruiting gaffe (somewhat our fault, also the fault of the recruit) and his HS coach publicly came out talking shite about UGA and richt and said that UGA wouldn't be allowed in his school anymore. Really dude? So if you've got a kid who really likes UGA and wants to meet with coaches he can't do that because you got your feelings hurt? That's just crappy man.
Oh and btw, that coach is now on staff with us lol.
