I think any Mississippi State fan that says they're not even a little worried is a dirty liar. I'm nervous.

Do I think MSU could be pinched in this operation? Absolutely. MSU basketball cheats like everybody else.
Would I care if NCAA basketball was disbanded? Nope

I guess I'm observing current trends, like the 4-1 record MSU football has over Arkansas the past 5 years, and not looking at the scores 20 years ago, since that has nothing to do with the current state of any program. For what it's worth, I was just trying to get a reaction out of OP; I dont really believe Arkansas is the worst athletic program in the west. I think we'd be tied for 5th with Ole Miss in last due to the upcoming football hammer.
But not looking at more current trends like Arkansas dropping 58 on MSU last year in Starkville in football and going 4-1 last year against MSU in your favorite sport, baseball?
Not that current, right?
Posted on 9/28/17 at 8:23 am to Don Johnson
One year doesn't establish a trend. And i'm a football guy myself, but I'll trade going 4-1 head to head in baseball for making it farther than you in the postseason anyday

Go to the 4 minute mark in todays PC with Ben Howland and listen to his response to the FBI probe.
To me, that is exactly what a guilty person's response would be. Unless you are guilty and expect to be part of said investigation, why would anyone say "I will not comment on an ongoing investigation"? I believe all the non-guilty coaches that absolutely know there is no way they could be involved would share their joy with the idea of college basketball getting cleaned up - even the reporter that asked the question said "a lot of coaches have said they were happy that the game was getting cleaned up."

I think this is absolutely pathetic reporting and here is why.
At first I was thinking, it sure would be nice to hear what our HC had to say about the FBI probe, the biggest story in basketball this year. Then I went and watched the video of the PC and realized that a reporter did ask the question about his thoughts on the FBI cleaning up college basketball, but this reporter just happened to be extremely biased and completely left that out of this article. Bad reporting.
For anyone interested, our HC basically said "no comment, not going to talk about an ongoing investigation."
To me, this response seems like it may be a problem, and I feel like only a guilty party would use this response as most coaches who are clearly not guilty responded to the exact same question something like this, "Glad they are finally doing something to clean up NCAA basketball, should even the playing field." I just do not understand why you would not comment on a much broader question on this issue unless you were trying to hide something.
So I started digging a bit, and noticed that Reggie Perry had just came back from overseas at an international Adidas camp and was hanging around all of the major players for Adidas for a full week in Europe. He comes back home, and suddenly changes his mind and decides that Arkansas is no longer the greatest place on earth and they are no longer his "Kentucky, Duke, or Kansas" as I quote from being pinned on the top of his twitter page. So he decommits and that commits to us (and we just happen to be an Adidas school).
So we are honestly saying this is not a big deal, that we were able to pull a 5 star recruit (who we never get) away from his dream school where he was committed along with all his AAU teammates and nothing shady took place??? I am not so convinced and believe this may actually be a huge story and all of us will be shocked because our media has not even mentioned it whatsoever.
I really hope I am wrong, but just feel like as fans, we should at least know the facts of the situation.
Hail State!"

You post a Daily Journal article
Then post a response to that article as evidence of .....something
And forget to include YOUR OWN comment on the very same article "Slackaveli • 5 minutes ago
State JUST bought 5* Reggie Perry in a most obvious way, and his mother is MELTING on Twitter b/c it's going down. YA"LL bout to get that fast karma for Ole Piss snitchin!"
You're too far up the spectrum to even laugh at anymore.
And 99% of MSU don't know who Reggie Perry is and won't care when you tell 'em

Absolutely butthurt. 100% butthurt. No problem admitting that at all. We wanted him, y'all got him. That hurt. Big time. It seemed shady as hell at the time. Now there's even more smoke.
Same butthurt y'all had for OM and their recruiting. You even had a guy write a book on it.

It's just a waste of energy though. What's the worst thing that will come of this for MSU? And how much do you think MSU fans will care?
And you should get better info on OM recruiting. It wasn't MSU they were beating for 5*s.

Perry plays for the Arkansas Hawks whom are sponsored by Adidas. A few of his teammates are Arkansas commits

And we are a Nike school. So, adidas shut down reggie's dream school with a huge pile of money, to a family with a sick provider in financial trouble. SHADY AF. And, no, we wont stop. In fact, I suspect the Ole Miss fans will help a good bit in this lil witch hunt.
