I admit, I thought at the time that Cam was basically doing it by himself and without him, Auburn would've been nothing, but in retrospect, that isn't true. Fairley, Dyer, Lutzenkirchen, etc were huge for them. Plus, MSU didn't have Gus, and we all know now that he was the power behind the throne.

Newton plus State's defense that year would've won the SEC. Maybe not go undefeated though.

im glad Auburn got him. He became such a douchebag with all the "I am a sports icon" bullshite and pandering to the camera with his little drama skits during the game. And of course I would have been mortified if he couldn't actually remember what school he goes to in an interview (University of..umm Auburn)

War machine? No. But they would have soundly beaten anyone not named FSU in their last game.

No the fluke was a ball that got tipped twice on 4th and 17 that would have fell incomplete of the Uga guys didn't have arms. Look, the point was y'all weren't some war machine at the end of the year.

Why do LSU fans of all people talk about things like flukes and luck? No team in college football has pulled more games out of their arse at the last second over the last decade than LSU. You could point to Wisconsin and Florida this year alone and it almost happened against Mississippi State.

LSU's most recent national championship came in year they lost to both Kentucky and Arkansas and pulled out last second victories against both Auburn and Alabama

You put Newton on this team, nobody stays within 3 touchdowns of them.

Dak's stats to this point in the season are better than Cam's were.

Auburn ended up playing like 9 teams that won 9 games or more in 2010. State wont play close to that many such teams this year

Some State fans may disagree but this year's team is WAY more talented than their 2010 team. You put Newton on this team, nobody stays within 3 touchdowns of them.

I 100% agree, but at the same time, I think Dak is a big part of the reason we are where we are. I'm not sure this team develops like it has with Cam at the helm.

Cam would take all the spotlight and credit. You wouldn't see the emergence of Josh Robinson, Fred Brown, Bear Wilson or Gabe Miles because everything would be Cam off the option.

I'm sure they will take this into consideration when handing out the Heisman this year.

The idea that Moo State wouldn't take Cam is comical. You hired Jackie Sherrill as your football coach not long ago and have gotten more shady basketball players into school than any team in the conference over the last 15 or 20 years, including Kentucky. When you end up winning nothing at the end of year, please tell us again how you wouldn't want Cam

Michael Dyer was the BCSNC MVP? Cam took the spotlight because he was that good, but he didn't do it alone.
