I don't have time right now because i am supposed to be working and I am bout to log off. Some places will look at the roster at the beginning of the season and compare it to that. So if a guy has 8 starts from last year, that doesn't count as a returning starter from last year. It's also deceiving in a lot of ways. For example, praise God that Relf is not our quarterback. Yeah Ballard is leaving but "so the frick what." RB's are easy to replace and he wasn't exactly a physical specimen. We got two juco OL's who are looking very promising. Our defense will be better this year. How is that possible if we lost half our defense? Cuz we didn't.

Our defense lost Fletcher Cox and that's about it. Brandon Wilson and Brandon Maye graduated but both lost pt by the end of the year. We only lost Charles Mitchell in the secondary.
Jon Banks will be All-SEC, Josh Boyd and Cam Lawrence will both be solid, and JUCO AA DE Denico Autry is a beast.
We will be fine.

I am pretty sure we've heard the same thing every year since 2009...
We were only supposed to win 4 last year and, like a bunch of Auburn fans predicted, we ended up winning 8. Our schedule last year was much harder than this year's. We have LSU, Arky, and Georgia at home.

We will beat State, Vandy, aTm, and 1 or 2 of Arky, Bama, LSU, Clemson, and Georgia. I'm leaning towards Arky and Georgia, maybe Clemson. It's going to hurt a ton with Arky losing Bobby Petrino.

i'm kinda bummed yall are off our schedule so i can't come in these threads to see if anyone thought they'd beat UGA

You sure do have pretty high standards after being lead to a massive let-down last season... I tried to tell you not to listen to CoonassBulldog.
Now, with that being said, it could happen. I don't see it being a real good indication of how good State really is, though. Look at all the easy games State has: Jackson State, Troy, South Alabama, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, and Ole Miss. There's 6 wins right off the bat. If State does happen to slip up and NOT win 8 plus games, Dan Mullen should be on the Hot Seat. Yea, I said it. He better not for 0-for against the SEC West again (except against Ole Miss).

Look for Cam to have a Chris White kind of breakout year. Not at position but just total contribution. His play has exponentially gotten better each year.
