Research Maniacs tracked all generations for more than a century and found that someone born in 1986 belongs to the following generation:

Generation Y

The link is wrong. It says this about someone born in 1945

"The Silent Generation was born between two World Wars and many remember World War 2."

I seriously doubt anyone born in 1945 remembers anything about WWII and certainly wasn't born between the Wars.

and Gen Y are the exact same thing as Millenials

The dates aren't hard and fast. 1980-81 is usually around where M/Y is considered to start but I have seen it dated as early as 1978.

You mean LEFT WING baby boomers. I never voted for any of this shite.

In fact I cannot find anybody to vote for that even mentions the debt.

and I am on the tail end of baby boomers but have never believed I belong anywhere near that hippie trash

Generational labels are overly simplistic. None of the millenials I know are snowflake shitheads.

There are several factions of republicans. Conservatives, establishment republicans, etc. A conservative has about as much in common with an establishment repub as a dog does with a girrafes arse.

So it seems weird to me that you just hate them all, even though establishment republicans have more in common with democrats than it does a conservative.

I'd much rather have them be focused on their education than football but that's just me.

I was born near the end of the Great Depression. The Lost Generation had the audacity to label us decadent because we listened to Elvis.

My favorite argument against millennials is, "They all expect participation trophies!"

Ya, because after my 3rd grade pee-wee basketball team went 2-8 in 1994, all us 8 year olds got together and bought each other participation trophies lol.

We were spoiled little shits by no fault of our own and get blamed for it.

Isn't the saying, "You reap what you sow"?

Gen X here (1974)

So am I a child of the 70's, 80's, both???

I was born in 1984 and feel more connected to the 90s than the 80s. There's a lot of 80s culture that I was just too young to participate in or remember.

If a millennial is still in college at 23, at that's the majority of your student section, then you have some slow arse learners.

I work with a couple of millennialist. They think just because they are "at" work then they are working.

I work with a couple boomers, they think the things wrong with the country isn't their doing at all. Blame it on the parents or blame it on the kids.

Information concerning generational trends is available to be understood. The misinformation in this thread is shocking.
