I think Mizzou would take Houston Nutt.

I'm not sure why people think Jimbo is better. It's not like he's fielding some unbeatable team at FSU, hell, his team would probably lose 4 in the West this year and I don't think that's debatable.

Ole Miss and Arkansas fans just love that guy so much.

He's a better offensive mind and will be getting the LSU talent. Let me know when you can catch up on that thought process.

He's already getting the talent at FSU dumb arse. And he really isn't doing much with it. Rolling an incredibly easy schedule every year? Congrats, I guess. His FSU team this year has no redeeming quality outside their RB, hell, he sounds more like Les than you though doesn't he?

FSU has recruited better than LSU. Really though, the difference between #1 and #8 in recruiting is minimal. Jimbo looks pretty average considering the talent he's had relative to his schedule.

The state of Florida has the second best recruiting pool...how has that gone for Jimbo? Well...he's won one NT and broke the SEC streak. Is that the only lustre LSU fans see?

And the title was against, let's just go ahead and say it, a fluke arse Auburn team. Hell, I like Auburn, but they barely snuck out against Dak on their field in his first start ever that year. Nick Marshall was playing QB. And FSU had the most stacked team in the country, by far.
I can see getting rid of Les, because he's been on a downward trend. But Jimbo would be a hilariously stupid hire. I like to think the LSU donors have more sense than that.

Got it wrong, I want him to stay a long time.

The point is they definitely won't lose anything going with Jimbo over Les. Then the argument is will it be better, and I say yes, you say no. Let's see if JF is even going there.

He definitely won't be worse than Les. But it doesn't make a lot of sense for them to dish out 20 million for a marginal improvement. Don't think they are going for a slight upgrade.

There is no "home run" hire available...I don't see Jimbo as a home run hire. Honestly, wouldn't trade Bert for him.

Well the moment he's announced will set off a SECr shitstorm of "SEC frickkkked" from LSU fans and "Jimbo sucks" from everyone else. Just getting that out there now because it's gonna get really really shitty around here

Who, exactly, do you think would be better than Jimbo Fisher?
FSU won a NC two years ago and made it to the semi's last year. The guy has something like an 84% win percentage and an 80% record in bowl wins.
Now, all that being said, I am not sure he would leave as there is no doubt the ACC is an easier path to championships, but you would have to think he is one of the best options if he is willing to take the job.

I get your argument and it's valid, but I disagree on the upgrade part of it. LSU has been trending down the last 4 years and this year they could finish between 3rd and 6th place in the SEC and can't beat Bama. Couldn't beat a marginal Arky team the last two years. Lost to Ole Miss two of the last three.
I understand the move and I could understand keeping him. They got boosters ready to make the move.
I should have said I don't think it's completely stupid. I was a little bit assholish in my response to you the first time and shouldn't have been.
