And asking for his favorite catch was just dumb. Sounds like something a 12-year-old would ask.

Agree with that but he was still a tool to everyone else and had no reason to be.

He needs to be mature instead of being an immature prick to the media. Seriously. Don't even go to the press conference if you're going to be a pissy little bitch and give half assed answers.

I never really thought of Sumlin as a hardnosed discipline coach, but I still suspect Evans wasn't actually given a choice about going to the presser. It's just part of the job, so to speak.

That sucks if true. Pretty sure Freeze doesn't make our players talk to anyone if they don't want to. After a game anyway.

I thought he handled it very well. He was much more upset than angry IMO.

Evans, who just had the greatest receiving day in SEC history

False

Reed had more yards on Bama back in 2001, almost 300

Mind you, I don't know for a fact that's the case, but lots of coaches do. They -- and, more importantly, school admins -- consider it part of representing the university, especially for star players. If they left it solely at the player's discretion, finding players on losing teams willing to do the presser might be a lot more difficult.

Bama went 7-5 that year, and that game wasn't hyped as one of the biggest regular season games in modern history.

No one's buying that Reed's ~20 more yards made his day more impressive.

Not sure if serious. I don't see any arrogance, just a kid pissed that they lost. I hope every player in the locker room feels that way, and not just happy that they played bama close.

Read what I quoted. "Biggest receiving day in SEC history" - guess what, 279 yards isn't it. These are factual things.

Guess what, it's about more than naked numbers without context, you factually obtuse twit.

No reasonable person would argue that Reed's day was bigger/more impressive/dazzling.

Yes, he was wrong, I made sure of it, Get over it. Not "the biggest receiving day in SEC history".

Facts would.

293 yards > 279 for "The biggest receiving day in SEC history"

Mike Evans SHOULD be pissed to have laid his heart and soul on the field only to walk away with a loss. The next team that sends a 5'10"/180 lb. corner to cover him had better make sure that the insurance premiums are paid-up. Mike's gonna be bouncing melons off of the turf all season.

What makes you think Bama's CB are so great after their performance yesterday? I dont care how good the rest of the team is, they looked pretty lost trying to cover a possession receiver in Evans on go routes. They were getting burned.

Once again though, the "biggest receiving day in SEC history" is a verifiable fact, not an opinion...and it doesnt belong to Evans.

The smartass little girl has been my stock bumping material the last 24 hours.

Honestly, though, it's been tough for me to not break her out at every chance I possibly can the last few months.
