Bowls ought to give out gifts to fans willing to show up.

Actually Texas Bowl will have a great attendance.
You forgot who routinely has the SEC's largest attendance.

Last time aggy played football in Houston, they did not sell out the stadium.

HOUSTON – Lone Star Sports & Entertainment officials announced Thursday that single-game tickets for the Dec. 29 matchup between Texas and Arkansas at the 2014 AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl in NRG Stadium have been sold. It's the first time since the bowl's inception that single-game tickets have sold out. The Longhorns exhausted their allotment earlier this week.
LOL
We'll even go back to the second-to-last game TEXAS played in Houston, a regular-season contest against Rice in 2010:
quote:
Lone Star Sports & Entertainment and Texans president Jamey Rootes said that having the “Battle of Piney Woods” at Reliant Stadium could make Houston an even more attractive place for hosting big college football games.
“We want Houston to be recognized as one of the leading places to play college football in the country,” Rootes said. “The Texas Bowl has certainly helped us in that regard. … For the Rice-Texas game, we had a soldout crowd of 70,000-plus.

Don't even freaking start eaTme people. The 3rd deck of student section was less than half full and those there were SITTING! Whole sections of the South end zone were empty and the top 10 rows there were also empty. I was in North end zone and there were whole rows empty and y'all announced a crowd of over 102,500.
I parked in the Cain Garage and I was on Highway 6 headed back to Sugar Land 15 minutes after the game was over...
Thanksgiving tradition my arse

I second that. Second half was as quietest a stadium I've ever been in. It was so quiet that it was almost weird.

Most of us bailed early to show displeasure.
