Sources: UW planned to keep Romar, learned asst Michael Porter Sr (and his #1 recruit son) was planning to follow Cuonzo Martin to Missouri.

UK football has gotten a few players Alabama and Ohio State wanted but nobody on tRant is going to say UK football is "taking" either programs.

That's probably the best case scenario. Porter isn't Simmons and they don't have any other good players, like Blankney

Martin doesn't lose recruiting battles, Martin will take any player Kentucky is interested in if he wants them.

Help me understand if Cal is still recruiting Porter (because he is not since last spring). I think Cal went a different direction when the Porter's moved to Seattle. And, I don't think Cal is not hurting considering he already has 6 5 stars signed for next year and may get 2 more soon.

Kim Anderson made Porter's top three, Cal didn't. Kentucky was out recruited by a DII coach.
