He isn't the best QB in the draft but he definitely has the most potential. I'm of the opinion that the failed drug test was legitimately due to doctor's orders. I highly doubt he'd be dumb enough to be smoking pot in the weeks leading to the biggest interview/piss test of his life.

I agree, he has character issues and off the field stuff.

Johnny Football is the best Qb in this years draft. He is accurate in the pocket and is elusive when pressured. If he was 6'3" he would be the consensus number 1 draft pick

And Timmy Chang is second all-time ij NCAA passing yards. Means exactly jack shite. Mett would have one of the strongest arms in the league today. He's got the build, and he's shown that he is very coachable. If he gets with the right team, he could definitely have a great career.

The worst game of his career came @ Ole Miss and still almost managed to pull out a W.

Of course it didn't hurt that he was throwing to (arguably) the best WR duo the SEC has seen since the 1992 expansion. Nor did it hurt that he's surrounded by all kinds of weapons on offense. But we ignore that about Mettenberger. He wins on pure talent while McCarron wins because he's surrounded by 5-stars.

Yes. I have believed since the end of last year that he was the best qb coming out. I always thought he was a first round talent.

Which signal caller do you like best in terms of NFL talent and potential?

If that's the question, I like Mett, he still has a lot to learn though.

Mett is solid. He's flying under the radar at the moment. But his immobility is pretty bad. He's got tremendous arm strength and his accuracy really improved this season. I don't know about best in the draft but he's got the physical talent to succeed in the league to some degree or another.

Projecting quarterbacks from college to the NFL is a crap shoot 95% of the time though so there's no telling.
