Metternberger is a good player. But, I disagree that his off-field behavior is superior to JFF's excessive celebrations.

Mettenberger grabbed some skanks arse in a bar. No one cares.
JFF is the epitome of douche. Short of winning a BCS championship he has zero shot at another Heisman.
Of course Mett would have to win the title as well to have a shot at it.

Mett has a very good chance to be 1 of the best QB's LSU has seen in 6 or 7 years, that's good enough for me. When you make a thread like this you will get flamed, and with good reason. Just relax, breathe and enjoy the season.

Just to be clear, most LSU fans understand that Mett has a 0.0% chance of winning the Heisman. LSU spreads the ball around far too much for any one offensive player to get the kind of stats and attention needed to win the Heisman. Because defensive players are not seriously considered for the award, LSU is pretty much out of the race for the foreseeable future.

Mett's not gonna win the Heisman. I think he's gonna have a great year and LSU has a legit shot to run the table with him but he's not a Heisman guy. JFF could've have won it again but his dumbass antics will keep it from him.

Nobody is discounting Mettenberger's play. I understand he did very well against Kent State. But, the SEC defenses will provide a better story line for his performance review.

He's played well in all three games. I realize the competition hasn't been top tier but he's been very accurate and made good decisions in the few times he's been under duress.

Haha accurate huh? Against tcu, who would be one of the weaker sec defenses, he had a 50% completion percentage. Jesus lsu fans are as bad as any fans when it comes to fantasy land. There are 5 qbs in the sec that are for sure better than him, and that's being nice
