How good is Mel Kiper credibilty? I don't know how Conner Cook and possibility Jacoby Brisett is higher than Brandon Allen or Dak Prescott. Cook stunk it up.

Kiper was better back when he played Eddie Munster.

IMO, he misses more than he hits. Drives me crazy.

Cook is good. Alabama faced all them, sans Brissett, and Cook was the most impressive.

I seen Cook and never been impressed. I really haven't seen brissett until the bowl game. Dak beat him in that game.

That is a huge deal for GMs. I'd never heard it about him, but that'll cost him.

That's because he created his own job. He was publishing his draft guide as a student in high school way back in the day.

Is he the most accurate or have the inside info from teams? Absolutely not. But you have to respect the fact that the title of "Draft Guru" didn't exist and Kiper created it all on his own.

Has anyone every compared his Big Board to what actually came to pass? I also think Todd Mcshay is an idiot. He was asked about Tunsil's statement concerning the cash from coaches and jump on Leremy for "Throwing his coaches under the bus". So why not just Lie about it. WTF

Mel Kiper has been known to pump clients of an agent friend, Gary Wichard, over other prospects (Jimmy Clausen being the most famous example). Doubt it has any effect on how teams actually draft, but it's out there.

I wouldn't say he is the best evaluator of talent in the draft game anymore. But he was the first and I still find him entertaining.

A few years back he was talking about how great Jimmy Clausen was, and how every team that passed on him would be his victim for 15 years.

Dak's problem is the DUI. Cooks problem is that non of his teammates attended his birthday party. Allen has small hands, doesn't progress through all his reads, doesn't keep his eyes downfield when the pocket is closing. Allen would work well in a west coast system. Brissett is a raw, big arm QB with mobility, didn't throw a ton of INTs. Kiper isn't perfect and he admits it but usually when a guy "falls" they were never high on GM boards.

His Clausen prediction was pure gold.

“If he (Clausen) is not a successful starting quarterback in the NFL, I’m done. That’s it. I’m out.”

I laf'd

I'm sorry your best player of all time isn't going pro. Maybe post a Fred Smoot Jersey? I'm a falcons fan, maybe you can give us another backup running back for another decade.

Why are you asking about Kiper's credibility? He didn't draft Brisett before Allen and Prescott. The Patriots did.
