The press conference was great.
He has confidence and he is personable. I've heard "young Bobby Bowden", which made me throw up a little, but he will be loved by the press, and parents. I'm hoping the refs change in attitude towards FL, specially after Boom.

The man seems like a winner. He said he could win with Clarabelle his dog as a QB. That kind of confidence reminds me of the OBC but without the nastiness. I could be wrong, but I think we are in great hands.

I can't believe Florida paid that much to get Colorado State's Coach.

Yea i gotta concur with this assessment Luke the Puke. I'm happy for Coach Mac, he was a great OC for Bama. But i wonder what made Foley so motivated to hire him?

Foley gave Urban Meyer an extra million as a going away present. He's had numerous buyouts from multiple coaches and assistants the past few years. Foley doesn't mind spending money unless it's upgrading facilities.

Well, I don't know how he will pan out, but he coached under the Sabanator, so he knows pressure probably better than anyone and the work effort it takes to be #1. He has already coached (as a coordinator) in the best conference, won and accomplished the ultimate goal. He also has won and has a 10-win season at a program that has a losing record all-time.

So the guy is a winner. It remains to be seen if he can win enough at UF as head coach in the SEC where you can get knocked off every week.

Hell of a coach no doubt... but he seems a bit... well dorkish.

Yes he does. He finishes every sentence with, "OK", "alright", "you know" or the goofy laugh. I would just say that every coach has some chinks in the armor. If he can win games and score a few points while doing it, he can dork it up all he wants.

Clarabelle must have dislocated a paw before the Air Force game.

I cant believe Florida paid a 5 million dollar buyout to get a coach from Colorado State. Man, things sure have changed around Gainesville.

Bump... Just wait until we spend more money on the next inexperienced head coach.
