Also, AJ is going for his FOURTH Natty Title ring. Anybody else ever done that? Huh?

Nah. He got "tattooed" by Katherine after winning another Natty.

Big deal. Barrett Jones played his entire career with his fingers stuck in someone else's jersey.

Seems like a lot of people in this thread got their feelings hurt by this ESPN article about McCarron.

Lets be honest here. This is a terrible story. Who cares if he played hurt? They make it sound like AJ single handidly won the title, and they make a big deal about his ribs. Football players play hurt. On every level. Alabama had a great team, and that is the bottom line. Why write this story? Chris Lowe showed his cards here, and what they say to me is that he wants to suck AJ off.

I hate when shite like this comes out after the fact like it's some kind of story. This just puts AJ in the 80% of college and professional football players who play through injuries.
this. Mike evans played the last 8 games or so with a fricked up leg and didnt even practice until thursday every week. Yet you dont see shite like this about him. Coming out after the fact is idiotic

Exactly. Doesn't matter if he did or didn't...but to write this article now is pretty pointless.

It would have been a big/worthwhile story if it came out before the BCS game though...props to him for playing hurt I guess

ETA: although it does seem like an awful lot of Bama players end up in the media with "injuries" after games are played the last few years...don't know if it's just coincidence or what

Would you rather they make excuses BEFORE the game? At least it was a real injury and not blamed on a fake girlfriend.

You left a minor bit of context regarding AJ bawling like a baby after a meaningless win over LSU because we're not your rivals or anything.

Probably crying because his ribs were hurting. I didn't see anyone else on the team bawling their eyes out.

Quit trying to be something you're not. You're just another team on the schedule.

This is part of the consequences of winning national championships, being in the midst of a dynasty. Everything is overanalyzed and dramatized.

No, you're not our main rival. I don't know anyone who doesn't think LSU is a rival, we just have Aubie and UT higher up on the rival chain. AJ was "bawlin like a baby" because he pulled out a clutch win in "The toughest place to play" against a top 10 team with all the pressure that goes on being our QB to win. Losing is never acceptable here and it never will be.

But otherwise, I agree with you.

He led the nation in pass efficiency while playing almost half of his games with a big time injury for a QB.
