Norway's Olympic champion,Karsten Warholm 400m hurdles world champion will break his own world record again soon.

I have always enjoyed track n field. Competed in college and overseas so it's more interesting for me than most I guess.

Dude can fly (on his feet and in the air), I think he is only like 20 or so, so his future in track and field is really good (barring injuries, ect.)

He's considered only a sophomore because his freshman season was stopped by Covid. Legit Olympic medal winner potential.

There’s such a thin line for elite athletes vs. people with normal jobs.

If you’re the 1,000th fastest man in the world, no one gives a shite and you will have a hard time making money off of what is a very considerable talent. But if you’re the 1,000th best banker or doctor or lawyer in the world, you’re making a lot of money.

I’ll bite. Boling is a future Olympian and national champion for UGA. Enjoy the little ride you’re on with your basketball program; we all know it’ll fold like a cheap suit when it’s all said and done.

He’s a stud. I’m glad he stuck around UGA after Petros left.

As a High School Cross Country and Track Coach, I never would have thought SEC Rant would talk track!

Matt Boling is an absolute stud. At the same meet Olympian, Randolph Ross of NC A&T went 45.37 in the 400.

While this is a great point I'll follow up.

How the hell does one determine who the "Thousandth best banker is?" Meanwhile, the stopwatch doesn't lie.

Track and field is the purest sport in that respect. You can actually find out who the thousandth fastest guy is.

As for Boling. As great as he is, he probably has at best a 50/50 shot at being an Olympian at any point in his career. Making the team is that tough.

That long jump he just did in that video was 8.25 meters at the Clemson invitational.

That would have won him the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics last year, he definitely has Olympic team potential..

He was an internet phenom for his 400 and 100m in high school.

He chose UGA because our staff's success developing long jumpers.

This wasnt a fluke.

I'd say better than that barring injury. Don't forget relays. He's 21. In 4 years, he'll be entering his physical prime. He could medal in 3 olympics. People forget these guys are still young and developing. Especially since we see him progressing each year.
