Mobile's Mardi Gras is the original. New Orleans is the copy.

Myv dad rode in the Comic Cowboys for years. I was going to take over his spot. But I got involved with playing music in Nola Mardi Gras events, and didn't want to sacrifice my Fat Tuesday with family to ride with strangers.

Its a weird org. Generally the people who are in the Comic Cowboys are not members of the Comic Cowboys

It is. He got involved 27 years, ago or so, when we lived in Mobile. But he'd still ride every year, regardless of where we lived. Mardi Gras has always been kinda like an annual family reunion for us.

It's more of a joke about participation trophies than auburn.

I'm not a member but know a few who are and it seems like the people who go to the meetings and barn party are not the same ones who ride. Could be wrong though. Seems like a fun organization and their floats are great

Without Malice... that's the theme.

Every year.

you should see the things they have to say about the city of Mobile in which they reside.

it would put the lame asses on this site to shame.

okay not really... but you know they make fun of themselves by going with horrible float designs.

some people see what they want to see.

an excuse to get riled up.

I feel sorry for people like that.

don't you?
