Aren't the Friday and Saturday starters out for aTm?

Our original Friday starter got hurt before the season started. Minter replaced him and is having Tommy John. Our weekend three are still really solid and the bullpen looks great. As long as we stay healthy we should have one of the best staffs in the conference, I'm more worried about our bats cooling off

So I'm assuming the Sunday guy moved to Friday? After that what happened? Did some young guys step up, or did they move a couple of arms from the BP into the rotation?

Yes and we moved mid week guys up. Both of them have been excellent so far. Long (the new Friday guy) was very good last year, Kent is a left hander who has been steady and Turner Larkins is a true freshman who has great stuff, just still learning how to harness it.

Childress is a pitching guy and he's been able to develop a pretty deep staff for us since he's been here.

I didn't know aTm's staff was that deep. It's going to be an interesting year in the SEC. Again.

No idea. I think we have more power than we have in a long time and the new hitting coach and balls are obviously having an impact, but I'm still hesitant to expect such strong production based on the last few years

Unfortunately because of the injuries we aren't as deep now. If any of the three weekends got seriously hurt I think things would start to get pretty dicey

It was commong knowledge amoung Aggie baseball guys that Tyler Stubberfield was going to be our Friday guy. He torn his ACL in a scrimmage (I believe) right before the season so we've been going with Minter (Fri), Long (Sat), Kent (Sun), Larkin (Tue), and Hill (Wed when they're are Wed games). Minter is out after Neb so everyone just got moved up a spot.

So someone like Larkin who is a true freshman who may have spot started on Wednesday or if someone ever got hurt is now our Sunday starter.

Hill is another true freshman that could make an occasinoal start, but was likely going to be a seldon used arm in the pen is now our Tuesday guy.

Its basically next man up for our staff and so far everyone has been nails. It also helps that our pen is killing it. We have 2 closers with 0.00 ERAs and Schlottmann, who leads the SEC in appearances, has been as impressive as anyone on our staff.

LSU has a new hitting coach and hitting has improved. But I wonder how much is attributable to the new baseballs.

I know with us it seems like our whole approach has changed which makes me optimistic it isn't just the balls. My mind just won't accept that we can hit the ball like we have consistently after watching us the last few years

Someone they were out over the weekend. May be why. I'll let you know after I get back after Tuesday.

And in that final I believe UF eliminated Vandy in the semis right? So 3/4.

Correct that Florida team had our number....VU went 54-12 (Lost 2/3 to UF in the regular season, lost to them in the SEC tourney championship game and then lost to the same team 3-1 & 6-4 in Omaha.

12 losses on the season and 5 to the same team....crazy

Was that the year there was a 3-way tie for the regular season title or was that 2010? I want to say it was 2011 because we tied so per SEC rules we all shared but SC was 2-1 vs UF and 2-1 vs Vandy in the regular season. Then went 2-0 vs UF in the Finals.

Also, we beat A&M in game 1 pre-SEC that year.

Could well be another SEC dominated CWS this season. Florida, LSU and aTm are all looking as strong as the pre-season #1 and that's no knock on Vandy. USCe is strong as usual and I wouldn't count OM out from getting much better as the season goes along. They have fairly solid pitching and the hitting will get better.
