Lost all the important ones though. It's naive to think that having a little defensive consistency wouldn't have helped beat a few ranked teams when you really needed to.

Starkville honestly isn't THAT bad but I think Mullen is a horrible person to work for. There's a reason he has never been offered a job outside of State.

The timing sucks, but otherwise I'm ok with this. His scheme is horrible, and will be even worse in finesse ACC. The 'Canes just got worse on D.

I agree. Mullen is at the weakest program in the most competitive division in college football, and he's been pretty successful. I don't see how anyone can say otherwise. I mean, frick, he had State ranked #1 fairly late in the season a few years ago. How much more can you ask for?
