are all in year 3 at their respective schools. Stoops was definitely the least heralded of the 4. When considering the situation they inherited and the school they were hired at, I think you can make a decent argument that Mark Stoops is doing the best job of the 4. What does the rant think?

Not ready to put Malzahn in with Bielema and Jones. I would agree that Stoops has been impressive.

I think you could make that argument, so long as you realize the goals are completely different.

Smith's team creamed us 56-7 before joker called it quits. Think about that.

yes - easily

he inherited a dumpster fire and has changed the mindset of UK players and fans imo

Gus? What the hell is happening

Bret? Needs to shut up and find a way to let his team's play talk for him

Butch? doing the same as Dooley - not what TN fans were looking for...

I'll wait until the end of the season to see how Malzahn navigates his current situation. He still made it to the BCS Championship game his first season, and had a good team last year until the wheels started falling off against A&M.

Jones and Bielema have definitely been the worst of the 4. I expected it out of Bielema, but I am surprised Jones has struggled.

Gus fell into a very familiar situation, with recruits he picked up as OC to pre-fit his scheme, That's why I placed Baby Stoops first.

Gus has a SEC title and an 8 win season.

He may be struggling today but lets see how he handles the current issues. Stoops is 3-1 in 2015 and that is it.

1. Stoops-Took a horrible historical program and has built the best foundation they have ever had in their program. The foundation is now turning into wins.
2. Jones-Took a program in shambles and has built the talent level back up to a competitive level. The jury is still out on his in game ability.
3. Malzahn-Had excellent initial results with a good talent base, but his record has declined in each year. Program is at a crossroad in a crucial year 3.
4. Fat Bert-Has not recruited well or shown much improvement. He has stuck his foot in his mouth with constant comments, following them by losing to horrible programs like Toledo.

I think Stoops has been solid but it's still a little early to say he's the best. He started 5-1 last year and still missed a bowl I believe.

Jones has injected a ton of talent into the Tennessee program and could win more than the other three if he would get out of his own way.

I'm chalking this year up as a fluke for Gus. Auburn will be back under him imo.

Bret Bielema sucks and is out of his element.

It's ok Shaft, admit Stoops is doing a good job at Kentucky. But we know, you think he is the Mike Stoops of the family.

He's doing a good job, sure. Y'all might even get to a bowl game this year, but he's 0-2 against Butch Jones, BUTCH JONES FOR frick'S SAKE.

I'm not taking anything away from the man.

He is the bigger coach by a long shot. Stoops is putting UK on the map again.

I'll catch a lot of heat on here, but I don't see how it's debatable that Stoops has been more impressive than Malzahn thus far. I just feel like everyone forgets Malzahn walked into a talented roster day one. I'm not saying he's a bad coach, but I wouldn't have given him that ridiculous of a contract after that wild 2013 season.

I still like Bert, but he just needs to shut up and keep building the program. He deserves more time, but geesh stfu Bert.

Butch has just got to learn how to close games. I'm not really ready to write him off either, but he needs a big win this season.

also seeing Commonwealth Stadium on tv is really impressive. I look forward t making that trip sometime

Wait, Jones inherited a dumpster fire too. Granted, it's a lot easier to recruit to Tennessee than it is to Kentucky, but still.
