I think you nuttjob Bama fans blow things like this up so much among yourselves that you think it's a big story to everyone else too. Evans was just another recruit that went to Bama.

Now we're REALLY in trouble, because Gus Malzahn, who apparently gets all credit for offensive success and no blame for defensive collapse, is rumored to be preparing to hire a coach that couldn't win at Florida. FLORIDA.

This guy says hi.

I agree, you should be used to it by now.

Solid point, but I don't think our offense was the dumpster fire that your defense is.

If you combine the performance of Malzahn's offense with Muschamp's defense, Auburn would have won 44-42. If Florida had more talent on defense this year or not is irrelevant. I doubt they had more talent than Auburn will have next year when guys like Carl Lawson and Tray Matthews will be part of Auburn's defense

What talking points will you use when Muschamp doesn't come to Auburn?

You obviously weren't alive for the 2005 Iron Bowl. Auburn outscored bammer 21-0 in the first quarter and went on to win 28-18. However, a lot of bammers bragged about outscoring Auburn in the final 3 quarters. This was the famous honk if you sacked Brodie game.

I did not think it was possible we would score 44 points against Alabama's defense, especially when you consider we left 27 points on the field.

I also never thought that Alabama offense would score 55 and 34 in one half.

Alabama was the better team and had the best player. This game showed me that not only can we compete with Bama, but that with an average defense we will win a lot of these games. Alabama and Saban are now on a 5-3 run, the era of 6 in a row is a memory. I see the next 6-8 years being very competitive between Saban and Malzahn. We will continue to see classic IB games.

In his very opening press conference at Alabama, Saban said he work 24 hours a day to dominate his in-state opponent. You could seriously debate whether 5-3 is domination

Alabama's defense had something to do with that. You didn't just leave them on the field.

Other than that, solid post. Going to be fun to watch the next 5 years or so.

I never said Saban has dominated Auburn.. I am just saying this game is always crazy especially when both are good.. so saying "It's going to be around here a while" is a little much imo..

Best Rivalry lives up to the hype once again..

You last score was nothing more than garbage time points and didn't mean shite.

Didn't Auburn announce him as a signed recruit even as he was committing to Bama?

To be fair, a year in Auburn qualifies as "a while"

In fact that's how long their stretches of having a good team always lasts.

Congrats on your last garbage time touchdown that made it appear closer than it actually was

Why do bammers keep bringing up the idea of some garbage time touchdown? Auburn had 630 yards of total offense, so it is not like we had a lot of trouble moving the ball at any point. Marshall missing a wide open Duke Williams for what should have been a touchdown and a couple of bogus calls from the referees are the only reasons we didn't score even more points

Do you really think we would have played as loose on defense had the game not already been in hand? Again, congrats on your last minute touchdown that did nothing to bring you closer to victory. What was the plan going to be? Recover the onside kick, throw a hail mary, score, recover another onside kick, and score within twenty seconds? That is the definition of garbage time. Your last drive wasn't going to help for shite.

But congrats on all of the yards you accumulated. Perhaps they can make a trophy for that in Lee County.
