7 straight number one recruiting classes according to most experts(only 5 matter for this year),
most successful head coach, and most impressive coaching staff from top to bottom, hands down,
most big game experience,
returning the SEC offensive player of the year from last year,
experienced defensive backs,at least one elite in Fitzpatrick
experienced o line, running backs, elite wide reciever(Ridley has made most pre season all american list)
past successes would give Bama the benefit of the doubt in a close race with another one loss conference champion trying to make the playoffs, in the event a team manages to beat Bama

If we make it to the playoffs it will be because we lost a close game in tuscaloosa and went 11-1 and bama goes undefeated. Would tickle the shite out of me to pay them back for 1/9.

Maybe a one loss LSU non conference champion gets in, there would need to be a lot of 2 loss conference champions around the country. I think for LSU and Bama to rematch in the playoff, would be more likely if Bama was the one loss non Champion and LSU was undefeated. Just because of the Saban mystique, Bama is a little more likely to get chosen over a conference champ. Of course we should all remember the whole reason for this playoff is Bama and LSU rematch to begin with. I imagine this could make them expand the playoffs in this event. Think of this, in this scenario Bama could rematch with FSU and LSU in the playoffs. Could you imagine the outrage across the country?

We have the Koolaid Man as our head coach. Him dressing in the all red wind suit could help the anCAA land Koolaid as a sponsor.

Pretty easy: Alabama has been to the playoffs every year, none of you others have been at all.

1. Soph. QB has made the clutch throw on a few occasions as a true Freshman. Consistency will be improved.
2. Top RB Unit - Chubb, Michel..........
3. Top LB Unit - Lorenzo Carter, Roquan Smith.......
3. Top DL Unit - Thompson, Ledbetter, Rochester......
4. Underated receiving group. 2 5* WR's and 1 5* TE headling a large group of former 4*s
5. Veteran Secondary headlined by 2015 1st team ALLSEC DB Dominick Sanders.

The only question is the OL. But there are some Dudes competing for positions. Best looking roster I can remember. I don't know whats going to happen when the clock strikes 0 but I'm optimistic

Based on history they don't play the playoff unless Alabama is in it, so, there ya go.

1. Perfect timing to bring in new, more pass-oriented Gus disciple OC due to: a. Most talented and deep WR core, possibly in Auburn history. b. Stidham

2. Rock solid, deep and talented OL

3. D-momentum...a couple of big losses but new blood stepping in...D should be just as good if not a bit better given the influx of talent and 2nd year under DC. (Plus getting 3 key players back from injury in Paul James (DE), Jamel Dean (DB), Jeremiah Dinson (DB).

4. Legatron

5. Several key games will involve opponents probably taking a step back from last year: Clemson, UGA, LSU. Those games are all winnable...do that, and get a little Auburn luck against Bama, and we're there

Honestly, there's no way to know who will be better and who will be the same or worse until the season gets going.

Clemson is the only one that is pretty much guaranteed to take a step back this season... and that's only because they won't win a national title.

8-5 record, won only 2 games by double digits. Lost to Vandy and GT. If it gets worst than that I need to reevaluate my choices on favorite sports teams even though I'm born and raised in Ga.

I'm not expecting it to get worse than that, but I'm trying to not get my hopes too high... especially in the final month of preseason when everyone is high on their team.

We once again have a completely new offensive line (2 returning starters at new positions) with Chaney still running the offense. That worries me.

Despite that glaring concern, I'm still optimistic that it will be a better team because of the great backfield that's coming back along with a pretty good defense.

Global Warming comes early, and a freak hurricane takes out most of the SEC. With auburn, bama, both mississippi schools, and lsu out of commission, it comes down to arkansas vs a&m for who goes to the SEC conf. title game. A&M obviously because arkansas hasn't beaten a&m in half a decade.

A&M beats tennessee and goes off to the playoffs.

The only case for A&M and the playoffs would be made at Holick's as long as Sumlin is coach.

Projected first round Left Tackle, top 5 QB in the country. Depth at RB and LB. Great defensive line... only 2 question marks are WRs and CBs. those 2 show progress from last year be prepared for a world class team
