TigerCruise the main reason you cant be loading up your roster with 2star guys is depth man. To win the SEC you need vast depth and you can't get it from 2 star guys. I'm sorry you can talk Pinkel up all you want but he doesn't have magic beans to shove up 2 star asses which turn them into 4 star talent. On occasion a kid can be coached up and work his arse off but in general most 2 star recruits will not develop into 4 and 5 star talent which means your depth consists of 2 and 3 star talent while the depth of your SEC opponents consists of 3 and 4 star talent. And depth is why you got your asses kicked in each of those 3 CC games.

You may have plenty of 3 and 4*, but the fact remains that most of them weren't ready to contribute on day 1.

Clearly you don't have nearly as many as the major programs or your recruiting classes would be ranked higher. That's what I'm trying to tell you. You guys land a handful of solid players but then you fill out the rest of the recruiting class with 10+ two star guys and you won't win championships doing it that way. You need to fill each recruiting class with 3 and 4 star guys so you have a higher quality of depth and a better chance of finding breakout studs. Sure the occasional 2 star guy will develop into a stud but its much more likely for 3 and 4 star guys to develop into studs than 2 star guys. So filling your roster with at least 3 star talent will in the long term result in better quality depth as well as more breakout studs. Those are the two things that could raise Missouri to the upper echelon of SEC teams. You guys win a lot but you don't win against good teams because you don't have a similar level of firepower. Missouri under Pinkel is 4-20 vs top 10 teams and 15-34 vs top 25 teams.

Yeah the Aggies are loaded up with top notch talent. It's a tall order to replace Manziel and Evans but the main thing is damn y'all gotta fix that defense. 475yd and 32ppg last year and that has to get fixed for you to compete at the top level.

No idea why an Ole Miss fan is critical of Mizzou's recruiting. Our lame arse recruits have done pretty well against your elite studs the last few times we played.
