Kind of what I was wondering. Taking the gig at Baylor now also is like a free pass. For the next few years, if things don't turn around, pretty easy to point to the shitstorm and just say "what was I supposed to do".

Rhoades leaving Mizzou?
Man, some programs get all the good luck in the off season. Since I hang out on the Mizzou boards I can remember the defense of Rhoades being "He hasn't exposed himself to small children" and "In theory he could have been worse".
A new AD and some fresh blood up in Columbia. The timing was garbage with Odom about to go up to face the press but in the long run I think its better to be rid of him then to keep him.

Well, virtually no Mizzou fans are at all upset by this so....
I'm actually giddy he's gone. He was going to completely frick up our facility plan that was in place before he was hired and every athlete on campus hated him.

Tried to fire their coach, who they loved and runs a pretty damn good program.
