LSU should be in the Big Dance, because even with some bad losses, they still have played very well this season. They took Kentucky to the mat, they were in the hunt for the second seed up until the very end.

Don't get me wrong, usually I'd be the first to point and laugh if LSU didn't make the NCAAT. They have earned a shot this year though. LSU has a good team and if they get hot in the tournament they could make some noise.

Ole Miss has wins over Oregon, Cincinatti, and Arkansas. So tell me again how we don't have any good wins?

You also have double the losses to RPI 100+ teams. I'm saying y'all get in, but only because of how weak the SEC is. People really don't understand how bad of basketball the SEC has been this year.

Ole Miss RPI good wins:

Arkansas: 17
Oregon: 26
Cincinatti: 40
Tennessee: 98

Bad RPI losses:

Western Kentucky: 118
TCU: 129
Charleston Southern: 167

Hope Ole Miss gets in. More SEC teams with names other than Kentucky is always helpful.

What? The SEC has been very good this year. UK, Arky, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, and A&M have all been good.

What do I have to be angry about? I'm much more of a college basketball fan than I am a MSU basketball fan. Because of this, I spend much more of my time watching basketball of other conferences, so I feel I have a better grasp on CBB as a whole because unlike you, I watch basketball other than what is in my backyard.

Are considered good by SEC standards but certainly not nationally.

SEC is actually not bad this year.

I mean the whole country is bad this year outside of a few teams. When Texas is making the tourney, you know it's bad. Outside of UK, Wisconsin, and UVA, I'm not really scared of any other team.

I'd be willing to say that the teams that the SEC gets in makes some decent runs. They usually do.

When the night is over SEC gets 5 in I think. Good luck to everybody.

That win over WVU shouldn't save you from losses to Mizzou, Clemson, State, Old Dominion.

I think y'all will get in but not necessarily deservedly so. The SEC is just really bad this year but the committee will still put 4 or 5 teams in.

It looks like (I'm just saying this because of the football playoff selection) that good wins overshadow bad losses. I sure hope LSU gets in, but don't lose to 5 terrible teams, and they are looking at a 6-seed maybe.

If we didn't collapse against Vandy and SC late in the season, we could have been a 7 or a 8. But now we are praying to get into a play in game.

Who did anyone in the SEC (outside of UK) beat OOC?

Half the teams hardly schedule anyone worth a damn OOC. Its easy to look pretty good when 5 teams are able to beat up all the absolute shite in the lower half of the conference.

Arkansas beat SMU @SMU...beat Dayton...beat Iona. All top 50 RPI teams.

SMU is about to win their conference tourney title along with their conference regular season.

LSU won at West Virginia. South Carilina beat tourney teams Oklahoma State and Iowa State.

No doubt, no one in the SEC is up to Kentucky this year, even when they have an off night. That doesn't mean every team in the conference sucks. As a conference, outside of the Kentucky, we have played fairly well OOC this year.

South Carolina beat Big 12 Tournament Champ Iowa State.
Arkansas beat soon to be American Tournament Champ SMU (and at home, I believe ending their home streak).
LSU beat West Virginia.
Tennessee beat Butler.

And so on.

SMU is a good team. The fact that you're using Dayton and Iona to validate your argument proves mine.
