LSU did have the second most talented team in the league. It's not our fault Johnny boi didn't know how to use his bench. :^)

LSU didn't have remotely close the depth Arkansas had, and its two freshmen post players were injured.

also that's pretty rich a south carolina fan can talk shite about Jones. Jones has flipped a successful roster three straight seasons, while Carolina fans have a weekly circle jerk over an SECT win in year 3.

Why is 9 too low?

They shite the bed this year with the 2nd most talented team in the league.

We had the 3rd best record in the conference and beat the 2nd best team h2h. We made the NCAA Tournament and almost beat a team who ended up beating a 1 seed.

No reason they will do it again... By your logic there's no reason Arkansas will ever beat LSU again...

I like how Jones has had almost the exact same results as Mike Anderson in his first three seasons (technically better since we went dancing), yet Jones is incompetent and Anderson is a basketball god

Anderson has 11 NCAA tournament wins in 13 years, with 3 programs he built up from dumpster fires.

Jones has 0 wins in 15 years.

This is a dumb comparison that you have made 40 times.

Probablybc his winning percentage is 9 percent higher and he has multiple sweet sixteens and an elite eight to his name.

and ya'll had depth. JJ should have developed it better in the cupcake part of the schedule. Epps, Robinson, Patterson, etc. Ya'll wore down at the end of the year because he was playing M&M almost 40 a game and it cost you the NC State game.

I get that, but UAB, Mizzou, and Arkansas are much more established jobs than UNT.

No one was going to touch Jones with a 10 foot pole after the Lester Earl scandal. Regardless he accomplished things at UNT the school never did in its 100 year history.

I'm not implying Jones is better than anderson, but I don't think it's fair they're not equally measured at their current jobs.

Yeah I'm really pissed about this person's opinion on what will happen happen a year from now based on nothing but speculation.

I just said Epps and Robinson were out the majority of the season

Robinson also got to LSU weighing 320. Epps was fresh off an ACL tear. they're both high ceiling talents that are projects and were injured this season.

you play your best guys to win the game. because Epps and Robinson were out all of the OOC schedule, there wasn't time to wait for growing pains. I don't see what's so complicating about the situation. Oh yeah, you're just trying to justify why Martin has shat all over himself while Jones has made quick work of an awful situation.

Because he doesn't hire godfathers to land top 10 recruits. We will be wayyyyyy better off in the long run.

One thing that really bothers me about ESPN's reporters. In their way to early poll LSU was 18. Lunardi releases his bracketology and he has LSU as a 9 seed. No need for any butthurt jokes since predictions for next season in April and more than meaningless but this is a snapshot of the variances in ESPN's articles.

You mean you're not going to take to heart a ranking that happens before we even know who is going to be on the respective rosters?

You clearly have no idea about David Patrick. Patrick is extremely well connected both nationally and internationally. He was not hired at the time because of a 14-year-old phenom from Australia.

Why is Jones' early success credited to a guy who hasn't even gotten to campus?

Also, please explain how Jones landed Martin, Mickey, Quarterman, and Robinson? Godfathers?

We'll just have to wait and see.. I think he's a pretty good coach, but I would be furious if an LSU coach couldn't even manage slipping into the NIT after 3 years to recruit.
