Arkansas is a Big 12 team....Arky vs OSU would be very close.

I dont think there is a doubt that Bama is more talented the question is whether you vote the resume or you vote the eye test. IMO voters will be split on that issue.

If the voters vote resume then Boise should never be mentioned a national title contender again.

Have they ever seriously voted Boise in that conversation? Espn likes to talk a little about it but Boise has always had a glass ceiling of about 3-4.....anytime they are undefeated late in the season if there is ANY BCS AQ team left they are ahead of boise

You must be 12 then, because this isn't even close to the weakest Arkansas team since joining the SEC.

I said in years. I would put the 06, 07 (maybe 08), 09 and 10 team over this one. Arkansas always gives LSU all they want every year. This year you didn't have the horses or the mules even.

The D line is suspect. Skill players are pretty non existent and the QB is average at best.

If they were undefeated this year they would be ahead of OSU and likely pushing Bama with 1 freakin top 25 game.

Some must take them seriously. Arkansas' schedule was pretty weak, but there is no way Boise's 1 loss resume is better than Arkansas' two loss resume.

Shouldn't we =#3 if this is the case? Also, we didn't lose to Iowa St.

'08 almost lost to ULM and Western Illinois. This team could name the score against that team.

LSU is significantly better this year than in past years. LSU fans are calling it the best LSU team ever.

More than one of our skill players will be on All-SEC teams. Not to mention these skill guys are pretty much all the same players from the teams that you said are better.

He's the best in the conference, and could be even better if he had a good o-line in front of him.

I don't think this team is as good as the 07 or 03 team IMO. I think the conference is alot weaker.

I think LSU went up a notch after 2010 while most of the SEC including Arkansas went down a notch or two or three. I think the Bama team of 2010 beats the 2011 Bama team handily.

He compared Bama vs Okie State or LSU vs Okie State the exact same thing as when they both played Arkansas on Finebaum. I think that comparison is spot on.

So do I and I'd love to see it.

Nothing like watching the team you pull for blowing out the best team from another BCS conference. Kind of like Bama playing the same conference's champion from the 2009 season.

Post more!

That's probably right, but we don't know.

I wonder how an LSU-Bama matchup would go if they were to somehow get together this season.

Meh--- don't think so, I think Ark would win that game. Better Defense and Ark's offense is as good or close enough, IMO.

4 Bama players taken in the first round of the 2011 draft. (5 players drafted total) One being a former heisman trophy Rb

Yeah I am an idiot for saying the 2010 team would beat the 2011 team.

2010 bama had a slightly better offense, but the 2011 defense is tremendously better. You think lsu is better than last year but bama is worse even though this year's game went to overtime? Both teams are much better. LSU is easily the most improved team in the conference, but they are the best team in the country...if they are your measuring stick of course everyone else looks weak.

I think 2010 Arkansas would beat the 2011 version, but it would be because of the offensive line and Knile not qb or wr play. 2011 bama would destroy 2010 bama though. If you think 2011 Arkansas is better than 2008 Arkansas, you need to watch the Bama and Texas games to start the year...we weren't in the game from opening kick off...looked like conference USA.

I am not buying Bama's defense is as great as everyone thinks. LSU played horrible on 11/5. Two INTs and failure to convert in the red zone twice. The home crowd and the magnitude of the game really got to us early on. In OT when it really counted the Bama defense wilted.

Bama has beaten very few teams with a winning record this year. Three maybe? This will make any defense better.

I honestly thought we got lucky when we beat Bama in 2010. This year I thought they were lucky it was as close as it was.

Your only saying that because 2007 but up 50 on your National Championship team. That Arkansas team went 8-5 and was DESTROYED by Mizzou in the Cotton Bowl.

Alabama also had two INTs and failed to convert in the red zone.

You fail to mention that of your 3 trips to the redzone one was from an INT and the last was in OT where you get the ball on the 25. LSU punted 4 more times than Alabama did.

Also Todd McShay currently projects 4 ALabama players in the top 21 picks right now. Hightower could also work his way into a 1st round pick.
