No troll. I have watched him play several times this season and didn't realize he was good. I didn't even know he was a starter. Ok. He's good. Sorry for the loss LSUZ

Simmons had an unbelievable game at Memorial but Hornsby was why LSU won, big loss for the Tigers. On another note, I saw the score Saturday night but didn't realize that Tennessee was without Punter. Impressive to get blown out in Knoxville without the vols best player.

LSU was without its best player, Hornsby.

LSUs 2nd best player didn't start.

Tennessee did have Jonny Jones and Tim Quarterman.

Tennessee has one player who can score and he didn't play. Just a monumental final blow dealt by LSU basketball to their fans.

Yeah that's what I'm getting at, UT has nothing on offense minus Punter (& a pretty inconsistent Moore this season). Getting blown out without him was extremely surprising to me, regardless of what LSU was missing.

Devastating loss to the legions of LSU basketball fans. Don't undersell it.

You obviously did not watch the game. Quarterman was very good for the Vols.

For the ones who don't know who Hornsby is, every time Hornsby got the ball against Bama, I was scared to death bc of his 3s, when Simmons got the ball I didn't have the same fear. I know Simmons is good, but Hornsby is one of those guys that'll hit a crazy 3 to change the momentum of the game

I also get Bruce Hornsby and Stevie Winwood mixed up for some reason.

A major blow to the Tigers. Hopefully Hornsby recovers and gets a shot to play pro ball, he might not be able to make an NBA team but he could do fairly well for himself playing overseas.

I fear this is going to be one of those dreaded "what could have been" seasons for LSU.

Not a death knell but pretty close to it. The team actually seemed to give up at UT once they knew KH would not be returning to the game. Simmons is great but as a leader he is almost too laid back at times. Same for Quarterman. If the Tigers don't rekindle the fire that brought them to first place(and without a healthy Hornsby that is improbable) they are NIT bound. Those first four losses without the combo of Hornsby and Victor still matter but not nearly as much as the next four games.

I think this site over rates players more than any place I've ever seen. LSU will be just as fine without him. If they can pull in a couple nice wins late they will be in. He's a serviceable player but it's not like they are losing MJ.

He is a big loss. Second in points per game and their best 3 point shooter. It will be tough to fill that hole but it is possible if the players step up. I don't think anyone over rates him here, serviceable player isn't doing him justice.
