Having Bama fans talking about coaches that couldn't make it in the NFL is ironic dont you think

Just remember this.

It's basically the same offense that put up OVER 400 yards on bama last year. The MOST bama gave up in conference all year.

Only this year it's a year more experienced. It's a year stronger. Those two freshmen on the right side of the O-line aren't freshmen anymore. It's an offense that has a QB with a year's starting experience under his belt.

It's an offense that returns it's top four WRs. It's an offense that returns it's top two rushers. Plus, the returning starter from the start of the '12 season.

It's an offense that greatly upgraded itself at OC.

Just remember this.

It's basically the same defense that led the nation in quite a few categories last year. The BEST defense in the nation, most would say.

Only this year it's a year more experienced. It's a year stronger. Those first year guys in the secondary? None this year sans Landon Collins. Everyone who will play significant minutes in Bama's secondary played many significant minutes last year. It's a defense that as an Insider Linebacker entering his 4th year as a "starter".

It's a defense that returns 3 of the top 4 Corners. It's a defense that returns it's best Safety, as well as two more who played all of last year. Plus, the defense returns a starter (and a backup who played valuable minutes last year) at every LB position.

It's a defense that will mirror 2011 much more than it will mirror 2012.

Cool my partner. But this is a thread about the LSU "O" not the bama "D". I just referenced the LSU/bama game because bama is the best "D" going.

As for your comments aout the tide defense. It lost almost half it's starters. How can it be the same defense?

If the #3 and #4 CBs are so good why didn't they play defense VS LSU last year? Tide went the whole game and only played two CBs on "D".

It's a defense that returns 12 players that played defense VS LSU last year. Want to guess how many the LSU "D" returns that played "D" in that same game?

BUT LSU is the defense that LOST all it's talent.

As for your reference to the bama '11 "D". LSU went to tuscalossa and WON out there.

Mosley/DePriest? Back. Both played the most snaps at ILB.

Dickson/Hubbard? Back. Starters at Jack and Sam, plus Devall is back and got more and more PT as the year went on.

Ed Stinson, started last year, best DL statistically.

Pagan? Rotated with Square, most would agree he outperformed him at times and he has more natural talent.

Ivory? Rotated with Jesse, but a clear drop off.

Belue? Started all 14 games, got better late, had a good Spring, prime to make the second year in Saban's defense Secondary jump.

Fulton? Played in and out last year until he got hurt, was rather good when he played, especially in press.

Smith? From the A&M game on played Star, had PT late in games before that, but had 5 good games of Star play.

HaHa? Led team with 5 picks, started last year.

Sunseri? Started last year at different positions, won't play Star this year, which is where he kept getting abused at.

Perry? Was meh last year, but played in Dime and sometimes in other packages. Experienced Senior who has a good Spring.

It's not the same defense, no. But it returns a lot of experience everywhere, especially at LB and DB.

21-0

May have had something to do with us being in base MOST of the time and when we weren't Saban still had this silly notion that Sunseri belonged at Star. After that game is when Vinnie stopped playing Star a lot. Not that it matters, we won that game.

Couldn't care less quite frankly. The secondary of LSU returns a bit of experience, you have no true MLB that will play, and your DL will be extremely talented.

LSU lost :

Mingo
Montgomery
Logan
Downs
Edwards
Minter
Reid
Simon

Bama lost :

Dial
Jesse
Square
Nico
Lester
Milliner

You lost two more players. I may have forgot somebody.

bama played a bunch of dime package last year. saban went with two CBs and four safties. Why so many safties? I don't know. No faith in the #3 and #4 CBs? I don't know.

Tigers return six DBs that played that game. Excellent amount of experience returning. Best CB and preseason all american saftey return.

No droppoff back there and expect much improvement.

Most tiger fans expect Barrow and his 100+ tackles to slide down into the MLB spot. This will open up a spot for Kwon to get the starting WLB job.

Even with losing Minter the LB corps as a whole will be better and way more experienced. Four TrFr saw the field last year. Two of them started at some point.

That's what LSU lost off it's defense, that played quality snaps in game anyway.

The BIG losses are on the D-line but, they call us D-LINE U for a reason.

As for bama's new starters on the D-line, pagan and ivory.

Watched the LSU/bama game the other day. Those pair probally played 35-40 snaps each and neither did anything.

pagan was NEVER in on the action. Nowhere near where the ball was run . Never pressured the QB.

ivory jumped on the pile a few times after the RB was stopped. Never made first contact.

Granted that is my only frame of reference. They might have played lights out someother games. Against LSU even with all those snaps neither did squat that night.

The LB from LA played in two series, didn't do much of anything either.

Because Geno was a true Freshman? He played a package with Fulton/Belue outside and Dee at Star on occasion before the A&M game, which is where we started doing it more, and then Fulton got injured.

We expect much improvement at Safety, and as for the CB group as a whole it'll be a little better, despite not having a Milliner back there.

He could easily get 100+ tackles, but he isn't a good fit at ILB, in my opinion. I hope he proves me wrong.

I agree, but losing Minter will hurt in different ways.

Right. Lost two more key contributors than we did.

what?!

That loser was fired 3/4 into the season.

Then Flacco and the gang went on a spree.

Cam is too predictable. Just like Les. Lets run trick play every fourth down and lose, herpa derpa. Oh run for a yard and beat Clemson? No, we gonna pass it...then eat paint chips. Wah, schedule.

Well Les has been able to beat saban three out of the last six seasons with that predictable offense. I think he is also the ONLY coach to win back to back vs the lil midget since he's at bama.

Didn't say mid season.

Flacco and gang did well, despite his shite play calling and game planning.

Cameron should've been fired after last season's loss to the patriots in the afc cg.

He was easy as pie to figure out. However, sometimes people need to change scenery to give him/her a jolt for the better. With the talent La. has, it could be a recipe for success. But anyone claiming Cameron as a mastermind before he even steps into the college arena is foolish

I wasn't talking to you

He was fired due to pressure from the fanbase because he didn't run Rice as much as they wanted and because he went off on Harbaugh in front of the team.

It was his offense that won them the SB....they just ran Rice more.

Saban must be so sad, when he loses to Les he has to go home and look at his 4 title rings and the swarm of media that would do his bidding in a heart beat. Least Les is funny though.
