LSU success is all due to talent. LSU will continue to lose to teams that can match the talent because the scheme is inferior. power run offense is dead. the key is balance.

how many power run teams were in the the playoff last year? LSU offense was current in 1965.

OU hasn't been an "air raid spread" team since 2000.

I've found that teams that try to run at the teeth of Alabama lose. However the few that have attacked them on the perimeter and forced them to play in space have had much better success against Alabama's defense. I know they're a lot better this year, but go back & watch what Auburn did last year & in 2013, tOSU last year, OM this year & last...they haven't tried to attack the Alabama's defensive line & LBers by trying to out man them up front.

You got it. They win so much in that conference because a bunch of morons insist at playing to Alabama's strengths and running right into their front which is where their recruiting is focused. Basically trying to out Alabama, Alabama.
They've consistently shown that playing out on the perimeters and in space, mobile QBs, and attacking their secondary is their achille's heel over and over.......yet most of those teams over there persist with their nonsense by attacking them at their strengths. It's comical to watch from a distance.

Some good football discussion in this thread. I think the point we are both trying to make is that a well balanced spread with a good running game would do well in the sec such as OU tOSUs style of offense. At some point a program like lsu UGA or Tennessee needs to adapt and give it a try. This isn't saying bama isn't good but like sooner said all the talented sec teams play into their strengths.
