Reading the thread I'm not sure why a couple people are being critical. LSU already has ASU on the slate for 2015, they will play neutral site games against Wisconsin in 2014 and 2016. With the exception of 2008 LSU has played at least one out of conference "BCS" program every year since 2002. Adding Syracuse is certainly a more meaningful game than the typical approach of adding a North Texas, UAB, La Monroe type filler.
Would it be interesting if we saw a more aggressive slate of out of conference games for everyone in the conference? Absolutely. But looking around the conference I'm not seeing that at all.
