dn't really. Since you got no points out of it. He got 30 yards on one play. Outside of that he had 8 receptions for 60 yards with no touchdowns. Such a huge impact on the game and we totally didn't take him out of the game

I never said ya'll did not . I actually said you were effective. But most of the time it was with safety help and not one on one coverage which is what this thread is about.

Maybe we don't put anyone on him. Our DB's are supremely confident.

They will single cover him with DJ Welter.

Les Miles has been known to pull off some unconventional strategies.

Less yards and touchdowns than Sammie Coates had against Ole Miss

I like watching Coates play, he's a good WR - how did he do against LSU?

we trust all the other corners to single cover your shite receivers.

I don't think you wanna go there. Y'all could have Megatron and Fitz with Jerry Rice in the slot and still be the worst team in the league passing the ball.

I'm not as worried about cooper as I am with Bamas running game. Our corners except for Robinson can cover ground fast. If we pressure sims all night he will be off

FIFY. Without Cam Robinson LSU is likely to get tons of pressure. Bama will play with their 2nd best LT, 2nd best RG, and 2nd best RT. That's not a recipe for great protection. Fortunately, Sims is very good at extending plays.

Probably man a deep zone to help.
If Arky can hold him to 2 catches for under 25 yds, I think we'll be alright.

How many times do LSU fans need to be reminded the transitive property does not work with football.

It's really not a hard concept. What happens in one game does not necessarily predict what will happen in another game.

Case in point: Amari destroyed VHIII. Based on that you think, hey, he will dominate Arkansas. Did he? No he played a subpar game. Base on that you think, hey, he won't be able to do anything against UT. Did he? No, he dominated them.

Every game is different.

They skerred...they know that we have playmakers all over the field. If Amari rips them for another 200 receiving, so be it.

That's fine. But it doesn't change the fact that LSU has a few pretty damn decent DBs.

We'll see how he fares Saturday.

We will man up cooper all night like we did Evans last year. Cooper may get 4-5 catches for 70 yards on Robinson but not much more and that's a win for us

If Alabama is smart, and I know very few people from Alabama are accused of being smart, then they will run the ball and keep running. If Amari has a good game then it's because Alabama can't run and well that'll put Bama in predictable passing plays and that's when turnovers happen. The same can be said for LSU. There's no doubt in my mind that Kiffin will run the ball, which is LSUs weakness, and try to keep turnovers to a minimum. This will be a 21-14 or 17-10 kind of game IMHO.
