Which hurts more:

A) 5 in a row to Bama: 3 arse kickings(1 shutout) and 2 close heart breaking last minutes

B) 2 in a row to Ark: both 17 point shellackings with one being a shutout.

L5u fans like to claim they have this super talented team when reality is it really isn't any better than most of top 7 teams. Bama exluded as Bama is,on a whole different level.

3 losses is a good season for this year's L5U team. That is of y'all don't duck up and lose to TAMU. The #2 ranking really was a mind frick for y'all and created this false idea of having a team that was a lot greater than reality. The schedule was very unbalanced with the majority of good teams back loaded on the schedule.

The Bama loss should have been expected this year. OM is every bit as talented as L5U and much more experienced . Ark isn't as talented but has a lot more experience and has a SR qb who is on fire.

While not championship season it is still repectable considering the talent/experience.

I know, TLDNR. GFYGump, LSussesed etc.

Nice work. Orderly and thorough. You've given this deep, continuous thought.

everyone will lose. But it's the way we lose. Never attacking a teams weakness. Running power I 15 times a game running straight up the middle 2 times in a row and putting our QB in a 3 rd and 12 all game long. Our passing offense has been ranked in the 100's for years now. Just tired of that. He refused to change.

I don't blame y'all at all. As a fan of the sport I avoid watching LSU because of how excruciatingly boring and unimaginative their offense always is. Miles sold every one on the fact that that he had finally realized the times were changing and was gonna modernize his offense. Didn't happen and IMO it cost y'all big this year. I think Harris is a very dangerous QB with good coaching.

This, if Miles would change philosophy like Saban I would want home to stay, but he has had multiple chances and will not change. The losses are a symptom of the problem.

I am more upset about the two against Arkansas than the 5 to Alabama. We were very competitive in most of those games, but Arkansas schooled us like a bitch.

I want Les to whoop A&M and make a statement in the bowl game. I want a reason to keep him as he is just a good guy and does a great job recruiting/putting guys in the NFL.

But I am not confident Les can beat Arkansas, Alabama, or any of the top SEC teams next year. 10-2 is great if every so often we can get to 11-1 or 12-0 but i just can't see it anymore.

Well he did attack early in the season. No one could stop your running game and y'all just beat down everyone. Y'all would have bitched that he wasn't running lf enough if he would have been all pass happy early in the season. Harris has some talent but he is young and inexperienced. He is just a sophomore and there is a huge learning curve. It would have taken Harris having the game of his life for y'all to beat Bama this year and he is just not ready for that type of game but I bet he will be before he leaves LSU. LSU under miles has had some good passing attacks just a few years ago with Mettenberger. The SEC West is a damn tough league with a bunch of good teams that on any given night can beat each other. Did you really expect to go undefeated and win it all this year? Everyone calls Bama fans unrealistic but LSU fans R way off right now. LSU has been very competitive the last few years more so than just about any other team in the SEC besides Bama. The problem is for LSU Bama is currently on and unprecedented run.

Easily option B.

Losing to Alabama is no disgrace.

Losing 4 of 6 to Arky/Ole Miss (and getting housed in 3 of those 4) is a completely different discussion.

Not to troll, but what would bother me the most about the Arkansas loss is that it is no big secret that the Hog defense is absolutely woeful against the pass. LSU not only wasn't able to exploit that but they gave up a ton of sacks to one of the worst pass rushing teams in the country. We are 123rd in sacks this year. That's pretty terrible.

I'm not saying that Harris beats Brandon Allen in a QB shootout, but it was an amazingly poor performance for the LSU offense against our defense. And our defense was pronounced clinically dead a few weeks ago.

These were what will turn out to be his downfall. There is honestly no shame at all in losing to Arkansas or Ole Miss this year, they are experienced and well coached teams. But to get blown out in both is inexcusable and is a harbinger of where this program will continue to go under Miles. We have no identity, nothing to fall back on when the run gets stopped.

It is not so much the loses but the way we lost. It looks like we are going backwards as the season goes forward.

You were competitive in two of those games. 21-0, 38-17, 30-16 were not competitive.
