Mullen has done "more" in one season, when he admittedly had a lot of talent.

Besides that, he's never had a winning record in conference. And he won't this season.

If people want to say that Miles is only as good as his talent, then the exact same thing should be said about Mullen.

Miles is a better coach, no doubt.

I'm just #grindin'.

Depends on what you're considering talent. They were developed into great players, but there were literally no highly rated recruits in that draft class. Several weren't even 3 stars.

You recruited a lot of the same guys, this isn't your dad's Mississippi State.

DT: 4* and 5*
LB: 4*, 4*, 4*
CB: 4*, and Traveze Calhoun
S: 4*, 3*, assuming Jamal Peters isn't playing by then.

Context matters. It was in response to the comment "a bunch of 3 stars". We don't have the same talent as LSU. My point was the recruiting and incoming talent is getting better.

That's this years team. We had a lot of different starters last year as y'all so kindly like reminding us.

So Miles gets no credit for his recruiting.

But Mullen does.

Interdasting logic.

I'm not even arguing recruiting.

I'm saying I'd rather have Miles and his staff than Mullen and his staff, when it comes to preparing for a game and in-game.

Where did he say miles gets no credit for recruiting. You're just grasping at straws at this point. We openly admit miles is the better recruit, where did anyone say he wasn't?

When did I deny him any credit for recruiting? I said he did less with more. I never claimed he wasn't partially responsible for the "more".

I also wasn't only referring to recruiting. The fan base and facilities are drastically different too. You have one of the most talent rich states completely to yourself.

So you are refuting State being described as "a bunch of 3 stars" and still holding that Mullen has done more with far less? (he hasn't btw)

Just having a hard time following the logic

Not sure State has the advantage at QB. Harris is far, far more talented.

By that logic Larry Coker is a good coach.

Its been a Decade averaging 10 wins a season with 2 sec championship and 2 title appearance.

Larry Coker comparison make you look about as smart as you probably are.

Between LSU fan grinds and their own self grinds, all that will be left by Sunday is a fine powder.

he created that "more". LSU hasn't always been a tier 1 program. Always been decent, but not until early 2000s did this "significant recruiting advantage" become a thing and even then, Saban wasn't recruiting like Les is now.

I know that. I was implying that you are discounting the fact that the talent LSU has is brought in by Miles and co.

You realize Les has won 80% of his games, won the SEC twice, been to 2 NCs and won 1, right? Idk what you expect. I'd say a program like Texas or even USCw has done less with more. Miles was in the NC in just 2011.
