LSU has not been able to sweep teams that they should be sweeping. They have been air mailing one game in each of these series. Bama will win one.

Wow. And LSU is accused of being poor. Offer the kids some academic scholarships like the rest of the SEC.

Our "go to" hitter is a football walk on who hasn't played baseball in two years and was offered no D1 schollies in any sport. It's just a collection of walk ons and over the mountain kids who can afford to pay their own way. We recruit to baseball based on your economic situation and ability for your family to pay, not talent alone. We have many kids who live at home and commute. Some baseball players we have had have drove to school every day from as far away as Vestavia so they didn't have to pay for housing. Most find friends who will put them up. Heard many baseball players talk about sleeping on a couch for 4 years.

(1) Holcombe is not a football walk-on. He was a 4-star linebacker who was already committed to Mississippi State when we offered him a scholarship. He had plenty of D1 offers.

(2) Collection of walk-ons? Are you high?
- Cobie Vance, freshman, 16th round pick out of high school, 9th best player in North Carolina
- Chandler Avant, 5th overall prospect in Alabama
- Chandler Taylor, 2nd overall prospect in Alabama
- Geoffrey Bramblett, 37th round pick out of high school
- Georgie Salem, 166th best player nationally
- Ray Castillo, 27th round pick, Louisville Slugger High School All American
- Will Haynie, 159th best player nationally

Do you want me to go on? How about guys like Rutledge and others who are now in major league and minor league systems? Were they poor little walk ons who should be at Huntington too?

Yea, just a bunch of walk-ons

I remember listening to that 28-2 beat down on the radio when I was driving home from Shreveport. I kept thinking, surely they misspoke when they gave that score update.

LSU wins 2 of 3, but it'll be a very close series I think.

Will easily be the best pitching lsu has faced this year so that worries me a bit with the inexperienced bats. I would say lsu takes 2 but goes cold at the plate in 1 game and drops it.

Bama needs to move on from Gaspard badly and get back to competing nationally in baseball. Gaspard has only been as far as the Super Regional, and that was with Jim's players. Even in that series with Clemson, he got beat in one game 19-5. He's had 1 year where he finished above .500 in SEC play- 2014 and they finished 15-14.

Bama has a solid baseball program and should be competing in the SEC. It makes it embarrassing to now have a great baseball stadium and facilities and still have mediocre play.

Does UA and its fan base want to pay to win in baseball? If yes, there is nothing stopping them from overcoming the 11.7 constraint. Replicate the Vanderbilt model.

Game 1= LSU by 2
Game 2= LSU by 7
Game 3= Bama by 1

At the end of the Sunday game, Bama players dog-pile on home plate in celebration of losing the series.

Georgie's a good kid. He's hunted in Lowndes County several times on some of my family's land.

21-0 Bama sweeps. We don't make it past 2nd base. There I said it!
