Saban was smart to not offer Kwon a scholly.

Kwon was pretty damn good for us before getting injured against Florida. He'll probably start next year.

Saban didn't offer him because small OLBs don't fit in his system. They are perfect for Chavis'.

Tommy Moffit is the best in the biz. I am sure there are other strength coaches ( most likely those who come from his tree) who do the same.

Moffit's been doing this for years. If I'm not mistaken, Coach Cochran does something similar. Wonder where he got that from?

At any rate, I saw the discussion turn towards Kwon Alexander...I agree that the kid will be a future All-American at LSU.

In my opinion, he's on a warp-speed collision course with AA status compared to Minter. You see, Minter really didn't come around until the 2nd half of last year (3rd year/RS Soph) as a true force for LSU's D.

This year he turned into the first truly prototypical Chavis Search & Destroy LB since Kelvin Sheppard's senior year in 2010 when he was 1st team AA. Sheppard also wasn't a Chavis recruit, unlike Minter. Sort've splitting hairs there as he was here for Kelvin's last 3 years, but I digress.

Prior to that, Minter wasn't on the field a whole heckuva lot in 2010 & 2009.

Compare that to Alexander, who with two 4th year players at LB including what was ultimately a 1st Team All-SEC/All American LB in Minter, was on the field from the 1st game.

This is after suffering a major knee injury his senior year of HS.

If he stays healthy, God willing, I see a 1st team AA Junior year. If he comes back, he'll be a two-timer. Next year he's got an excellent shot at being 1st team All-SEC. He's just so damned fast and he's a sure tackler that hits hard and uses pad level and leverage. He's taken to Chavis' coaching like a natural.

Oh, and I can't wait to see Kendell Beckwith next Fall doing the same thing. If Minter comes back...WHOA! Watch out now!

All I was getting at is that there are a lot of injuries that are the result of poor conditioning.

The same sign is on Vic's window at FSU.

The number of names has reduced dramatically since it was added.

its the same list... not the same names listed on a different date. I'm sure Cochran and Saban have something similar.

Damn corndogs, there is no way of knowing whether Kwon will be an AA or not(2 timer LMAO!!)... the chances aren't that great that he will be one(especially considering who is in the same class as him).. If he is coming off an injury and still slacking chances are he has a pretty bad work ethic.

AAs are some of the hardest working in the country as well but to think he will be one of the top 4 lbs in the nation is pretty homerish based on mostly garbage time against bad teams. The guy has made 7 solo tkls...

So do these guys really act like that? I'm a little surprised about Sam. I can see freshmen being on that list.
