Interesting how people just want to move past 3-4 years of absolute garbage that has been completely disproven with barely a mention, if any at all.
Interesting that if a college coach inherits good talent, he only wins because of that. In the NFL, a coach that wins with inherited talent is a genius.

Actually you are right. Miles does not get enough credit for sustaining LSU's program. There have been numerous coaches who flake out after taking over for a successful coach, and there are numerous coaches whose career gets ruined because of a bad OC (Crowton). Miles has held his own, and is doing a great job with the LSU program.

I submit to you that anyone stupid enough to say what is in the subject line at this point in time or within the last few years is too damned fricking ignorant to be able to interpret the sarcasm in the OP.

The LSU-Bama threads that have been started lately defy all senses of "sarcasm." It's getting old and fast.

Of course he is right, but this has already been established. These threads need to stop. Continuing to compare miles and saban 7 frickING YEARS after miles has taken over the program is the most telling sign there is that you are still looking for some kind of vindication for coach miles. The man has won and is continuing to do so. Who gives a frick what some internet trolls were saying about the man back then. Please God...let the miles/saban comparisons stop.

And now that Miles is absolutely destroying the rest of the SEC (minus Saban/Alabama who we have not played yet), people cannot bring themselves to admit that they were completely wrong.
But, it should be pointed out:
The whole SEC, the entire nation, and a good portion of LSU fans were completely wrong.
Les Miles is a heck of a football coach - dominant, actually.
You talkin 'bout the LSU fans that wanted to run Miles' arse out on a rail last summer?

You mean the summer of 2010? Yeah, those guys.
As for the OP, I got what he was saying and thought that it was funny.
If Bama fans can bring up national championships from 1925 as examples of the dominance of their program, I have no problem with an LSU fan bringing up that Miles has established himself as a coach in his own right beyond all criticism at this point. It also retroactively helps you look back at the past 7 seasons and appreciate them a bit more.
But, whatever.

Really? Your standards are really strange. I think you take all of this WAY too seriously.

It's not like Miles hasnt done some really, really questionable/dumb things while he has been head coach at LSU. I think he is a good coach, but the talent that he is working with plays a big part. I just think its funny that LSU fans strive so mightily to prove that their coach isn't bad. Who gives a shite?

I thought only Blutarski went to college for 7 years ???
