But LSU isn't doing that, from what I can tell in this thread. They're splitting receipts.

Not true. We're taking what it costs us to put on a game, then giving you the rest. Which is the same thing Arizona State did for us in 2005, and the same thing the New York Giants did for the Saints in 2005.

The head out of your arse comment is in regards to your piping that the game being in Charlotte is better for SC. It isn't. So again, get your head out of your arse. And best wishes in this trying time.

No. South Carolina is keeping it all (minus LSU's costs of course)

Which is honestly what I expected. The person I quoted said that USC would get all the revenue from playing in BR. I was just questioning that.

I wouldn't expect LSU to take a financial loss on the game.

I feel bad for the state of South Carolina, the entire university, and its fans. Wishing for the best for them and their recovery.

Will you still feel this bad in the stands on Saturday? Nah, didn't think so.

I agree. I wish the game was in Columbia. But I think having it in BR was the best decision rather than neutral site.

LSU is doing a great thing with giving us the gate (minus the cost).

What's best for the athletic department and what's best for the fans are two different things in this case. The university can derive gate from LSU, but it leaves the fans, expecting a home game, SOL. Charlotte is better, logistically, for the fan base at large. The proximity of Charlotte to Columbia would allow many ticket holders to be able to make the game. Again, BoA may have told USC to pound sand.

Forgive me if I doubt your sincerity.

No way it could have gone to Charlotte (or any venue in North Carolina). That is ACC country. Just being honest bro. Should have been Atlanta.

The SEC Network is based in Charlotte.

The SEC should make Bama cover the cost in Birmingham to make up for killing UAB's program

All I know is LSU fans are loving this at the expense of others. Makes me sick, not saying people here are assholes that just makes me mad. Whatever, it's life.

I don't think you're right man. i'm sure some are but most LSU fans have a hell of a lot of experience with floods. we can't do anything about your flood but offer our stadium. i'm sure USC will receive the ticket revenue and probably the concession revenue as well.

I hope and pray you guys are alright. football is not near as important as the disaster you are going through. and it's just a game; not life itself.

I do not understand how the SEC Office has even considered giving one team 5 home games. This is crazy. Not because LSU is going to win the SEC west, they can't beat Bama, but you just can not give one team 5 home games.

So what's the better idea here?
