It's ok they'll get to see him raise another Crystal Football on their personal stadium video screens this January.

I always wonder what his connection to the school was to get such a great honor. He was terrific as Robert Montgomery Knight in Season on the Brink.

I think he's supposed to be cast in the lead role of the movie: "A Tree Dies in Auburn"

It's a shame how LSU fans are so vitriolic and hateful towards Saban.

Are you like, totally stupid ??????
LSU didn't "REFUSE" to show the Saban video on the the stadium video screen - it was a PERSONAL message to the PLAYERS - NOT the public and media.
But way to put your own lying spin on it.

FYI, Jughead, of the 22 starters on the 2007 LSU National Championship team that defeated Ohio State on 1/7/08 - ELEVEN were MILES RECRUITS....

And actually, it's a credit to Miles that he had to coach players he never met, let alone recruited in his first 2 years at LSU.

BTW, most of those '30 PLAYERS' never got off the bench when they played for Saban, as they were freshmen or redshirts.

Most LSU fans aren't 'vitriolic' or 'hate' Saban at all, they hate the SITUATION that allowed him to come back to, of all colleges - Alabama in the SEC West.

Now go set yourself on fire and lower yourself inch by inch into a sewage treatment plant.

Did all of the sudden great talent appeared in Louisiana post 1999?

No, but they all of the sudden stayed in state instead of going to out of state schools:

Cue this small sampling of top recruits that left the state in the 90s

Ed Reed
Reggie Wayne
Warrick Dunn

Showing a Saban video on the screen at Tiger Stadium to 90,00 drunk, hot, agitated LSU fans sounds llike a really, really bad idea. Unless you want a riot on your hands

Just goes to show how deep in their pea brains Saban is LOL.

You're stupid. I guess you just read over the part where Saban said it was a "PLAYERS ONLY" video. Retard.

Right. Only a fricking fool would want to erase every memory of the greatest coach LSU ever had.

Once again. Saban is not the lsu best coach. He is the most accomplished coach to ever coach at lsu but he isn't the most successful coach DURING HIS TENURE AT LSU. AT LSU Saban lost at least 3 games EVERY YEAR , but once. Les Miles has a better sec win %. Miles is #2 in winning % in THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF THE SEC( min 100 games coached). He trails only Bear. Miles is higher than Saban and spurrier.

While I completely understand the rational arguments made in this thread, there are some LSU fans in here flashing their sandy bleeding vaginas around like a motherfricker.

My thing has always been that LSU fans act like he left LSU straight for Bama. They don't seem to understand the progression of him wanting to go to the NFL and then back to the college game.

Not sure why this is hard to comprehend.

I was at Saban's last radio show in Orlando for the Capital One Bowl vs Iowa. It was pretty much a "thank you" fest. Caller after caller thanked coach. Coach even got pretty emotional during the radio show. We were beyond grateful.

When he was at the Dolphins and came back to Tiger Stadium to play the Saints, we cheered him.
Dolphins vs Saints recap

Him being at Alabama, in simple terms, is a conflict of interest to LSU fans. He's coaching for Alabama to win games instead of LSU. It's as simple as that. I'm still a fan of his for what he did for us. He just happens to be against my interests at the moment.

Not sure why this is such a hard concept to grasp. If the roles were reversed. You'd be grateful for Saban for what he did at your school, but against the Alabama coach in a game or for a recruit, you'd want Saban to lose to the Alabama coach.

I don't "hate" Saban but I certainly don't like him. Regardless of who the coach at Bama has been given the last few season, they have no place on the screen during an LSU home game.

Please. Why the heck would we want to see Alabama's coach on the big screen?

Tiger stadium advertisement space is too expensive for Bama to buy.

Our last 2 coaches have been outstanding hires by the LSU AD's and I hope the next one is as good as Saban and Miles. The past 13 years have been fun.

Right, and there is roughly an equal amount of gumps going full gumptard, which says a lot when one considers that there are about 90 times more LSU fans registered to post here.
