I asked a few of my LSU buddies at work yesterday this question. Their answers were mixed with various reasons, I thought I would ask here on the Rant.

To be candid I was given the option of Tennessee / LSU vice versa...I picked a loss to LSU :-(

I thought LSU's goal was to play bama tough and lose, are you saying they've been trying to win?

They should. It would extend their false title hopes at least one more week in the fall.

I think L6U fans would take 5 losses if they were to beat Bama next year.

No way. If we have 1 loss at the end of the year what looks better on a resume?

A&M at home or Bama on the road?

Eh, it depends. For instance, aggy is expected to be a pile of dogshit next year, so a loss to them would hurt LSU worse than a loss to Bama, so I'd take the Bama loss.

An A&M loss wouldn't hurt LSU as much as a Bama loss.

The only way it would truly hurt is if it had SEC Championship implications. LSU is a lot closer to saying they have a chance at Atlanta than A&M. You take the win over the team you're actually competing against

Would you trade a Clemson win for one of your made up Championship titles?

They should rationally choose the loss to us, because we won't be contending for the West so it won't factor into a tiebreaker. The Bama loss very well might.

But they hate them some Aggy so they'll choose Bama

It would depend on the SEC West standings.
