I was at Edwards AFB in 1984, so I traveled down to watch LSU play USC in The LA Coliseum. This was not long after the 1984 Olympics and the Coliseum looked incredible that day.

In 1998, I went with an ex g/f who was a Tulane fan to see them play Army at West Point. If you ever have a chance to spend a late fall afternoon at Michie Stadium for an Army game, by all means do so. Incredible setting.

I hated sitting in N.D.'s stadium. They were so desperate to get more fans...$$..into the stadium that that seats were literally crammed together, front, back & side to side. It may be better now that it's been expanded.

Got to see The Grateful Dead and Little Feat at Autzen Stadium the summer of 1990. Was the best road trip, worked in Yellowstone NP that summer, that I've been on. They allowed camping in the lot for the 2 weekend day shows. My first 2 dead shows

Autzen was a cool scene with the parks around it and camping . Highly recommend!

I am thinking at this point getting a room will be the toughest part.

Appleton is only 30 miles away. It's just a little bit smaller than Green Bay.

Luckily it will be in September, so not too cold. If this game was in November then I would be very concerned

7 of the top 10 drunkest cities in the country are in Wisconsin.

The reputation is earned.

Props to LSU, they're one of the few SEC teams not afraid to travel to a non-conference opponent's stadium, unlike Bama (recent trend is neutral stadiums) and Florida (who is scared sh*tless to travel outside the south).....

Well to be fair LSU-Wisconsin is a "neutral" field (Houston and now Lambeaux).... Oregon and TCU were both in Dallas, but we have gone to West Virginia, VaTech, Washington, Arizona, Syracuse, and Arizona State.
