Not sure if the whole team is as confident as Dwayne Thomas is, but why gove Jeremy Johnson extra motivation?

quote:

We know that this guy, if we play our technique right, if we do the fundamentals and have our eyes in the right place, he should be able to throw us one -- if not, hand it to us," LSU cornerback Dwayne Thomas said

"This Guy"

quote:

This quarterback has a great arm, but we don't know how accurate he is because we haven't seen him in person. With the tight coverage that we play, we're looking forward to him giving us a few."

"This Quarteback"???

Well, tell us how you really feel Dwayne!

Jeremy Johnson needs a lot more than motivation

They probably have to refer to him as "this quarterback" because JJ is so bad he may be benched by the time gameday rolls around and they are unsure of who will actually be throwing the INTs

In before, UVA castoff blah blah blah the barn still sucks

If this means it will "give him motivation" to throw against our secondary, then by all means, keep it up.

Jeremy Johnson reminds me a lot of Geno Smith, and we all know how that went against the vaunted Kevin Steele defense.

Hopefully this inspires Jeremy to go out there and air it out. This is the difference in pissing off fournette and jeremy johnson.

Dwayne Thomas is the anti-Fred Smoot.

A. this wont matter at all, same as the LF trash talk by Auburn wont matter. Once the game starts all this crap doesnt matter

B. However, if one was to conclude this will have an effect on the game, I would lean to this hurting Johnson. A confident QB would love trash talk. However, one that sucks and has no confidence would possiby hurt by it

But like I said I think it has no effect whatsoever

Don't see your point. Thomas is repeating the same thing any legit coaching staff in the SEC would be telling their defense under the circumstances. JJ has not played a defense that will pressure him like LSU will this Saturday. Surely he wants to improve and he is very talented but this may not be the game where he showcases improved play.

I'm assuming that when aggy was in the Big XII, all they did was go into Texas game threads and talk about aggy. No one cares about aggy, but aggy can't just talk about his game. Can't you guys just be Texas' little brother again? It would be better for everyone.
