Honesty this is what is most concerning. I have no idea how we will move the ball. Jennings just can't make the throws he needs to make to keep defense guessing and we will be running into a brick wall. One that will not get worse as the game goes on.

If I'm calling offense I think you have no choice but to be aggressive. Ask Jennings to make plays and don't be afraid to use full playbook. If it backfires and we go down 24 by half then frick it. What else is new this season? All blow outs all the time. Get Harris in there and take the lumps.

to me only hope for LSU is to control the ball and keep ole miss' offense of the field. If there are a few 3 and outs the defense will get worn down and it will be a blow out in 4 qtr.

That is the question for this game. By all objective measures OM is the better team, but interesting things happen in football several times each week.

OM always plays LSU tough as an underdog and has had success. Now that the roles are reversed, it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

LSU has to hit enough passes to keep them from stacking the box

I have it on good authority that Ole Miss will be in Nickel, and haven't stacked the box all year.

Against a 7-man front, LSU will blow Mississippi off the line.

We probably wont move the ball very well considering Ole Piss doesn't recruit 5 star players that go straight to the NFL after their Sophomore (RS) season. Ole Piss is a one year wonder. Enjoy it while you can!

If anyone has the athletes to match up with OM improved team...its LSU. The keys to us winning this game:

-Run the ball well
-stop the pass
-Make big plays on ST
-Hope that bad Bo shows up on a couple of plays.

good thing is, these are all things LSU is doing well at this point in the season. That plus the home crowd in our favor gives us a shot. But, we definitley have to have a few balls bounce our way to pull this off. Looking forward to it

That didn't even work against Mississippi last year when LSU had one its most prolific offenses in their history.

That's REAL easy to say for someone that doesn't actually get paid to win football games.

There is no one on the coaching staff that can afford to just say, "Aw frick it, we're going to lose them all anyway, might as well just play for next year." They actually have to try to win every single game.

I will say this,if LSU comes out with the same intensity against Ole Miss that they had against UK it will be a dogfight.

Likely but I can't imagine a competent coaching staff not daring LSU to throw by stacking the box. Despite what the Rebels believe about their stout defense not having to do it.

I doubt you would do anything different if tasked with stopping the LSU offense.

Alabama rushed for 168 yards (3.8ypc) on Ole Miss. Les will see that number and think it means he can win it by running 70% of the time. I think LSU needs to pass to win, but their stubbornness is unabashed. I predict 50+ running plays from LSU.

If you have a decent OL and good backs you can run on Ole Miss. They are fast but overall not big and I think LSU will at least start out trying to pound on them.

Run between the tackles might be the ticket.

I'm with you there, stack the line, and force Jennings to try to beat the man coverage. That's how Mississippi will win this game. If they try to get cute, they will lose. There will be nothing 'cute' about this game.

I just hope the fans have the patience while Miles tries to break the Mississippi DL. Picking up 1st downs running the ball in the first half is the key for LSU.

Teams have to put 2 guys on Nkemdichie every play. A lot of teams put 3. When you have to do that the numbers game goes in our favor. Instead of blocking 7 on 7 your blocking our front 4 with 5 and not getting to the LB and Prewitt who are nasty when they arent blocked. It worked against Bama and everyone else we have played. If you want to leave RN 1 on 1 then he will be in your back field every play. Maybe someone can post the gif of him blowing up the Bama guard.

Yea, but you forget we got fans just lollygagging around outside coming in after kickoff, Mike won't get in his cage, admin has lost all control of the student section to the point where the band can't play any song without them yelling STTDB, then at halftime we will have only 65,000 people left in the stadium. We don't really have home field advantage anymore.
