Agreed. It's not like schools were lining up to hire him. Alleva and FK should've used their heads instead of school money.
Alleva probably saw Texas tack on a large buyout on Herman's contract and decided that LSU probably needed to do the same thing with 0. I agree that it was unnecessary, but Alleva just seems to seek out ways to frick shite up.
