LSU having much better draft picks in Baseball is not even remotely surprising. I could have never looked at a baseball draft and guessed that.
Shaq gave you a #1 pick. I couldn't think of an Alabama player nearly Shaq's profile. I was actually surprised we had a #2 pick in the NBA draft.
WNBA... honestly, I don't recall LSU ever being big in women's basketball, so that one was surprising. Kudos.
Billy Cannon gives you guys a legit #1 pick. If your only #1 NFL pick had been Russel, then mocking would be deserved for drawing attention to it. Nothing but respect for Billy though. Guy will always be considered super legit.

I'm not triggered at all. This is an interesting stat and an accomplishment by LSU. I just don't think having the #1 WNBA draft pick is at all impressive or adds anything to LSU's accomplishment.

The guys who went in front of him both wound up being great players - Bob Lanier and Rudy Tomjanovich. Still not sure they were better than Maravich though.

I'm not Bama, or even a Bama student, so that's a bit of wish-fulfillment on your part. But I grant that I didn't realize Cannon was a #1 pick. Seems a bit like cheating to pick pre-merger stats, but it would have been the "NFL" even before the merger, so it's technically correct. I'll give it to you.
