I agree with OP. The melt will be HUGE!!
Personally, I could care less. I would love for LSU to be an easy out but that will rarely ever happen. So, get the best coach you can Alleva. For a few more years we have the GOAT so bring it on.

LSU will melt no matter what.
Hire Herman? Should have hired Jimbo. Herman loses to bad unranked teams and hasn't proven anything.
Hire Jimbo? Should have hired Herman. Jimbo is more experienced and has won the big games.
Hire O? Frick that crazy coonass. He's not a head coach. If he really loved LSU, he'd take the demotion back to defensive line.
Anybody else? God forbid, I don't even want to think about it.

How about you be an LSU fan and just support whoever the next coach is and not declare him a loser before his first season even starts. Otherwise, you can just not be a fan at all. Wouldn't hurt my feelings to see some of the pessimistic people go

Well I will enjoy watching you melt. Because if this so called deal with Herman falls through guess what O is going to coach LSU. I'm in the Herman camp if he keeps DA, but if not I'll take Os' recruiting over what anyone else would bring. Fedora and Gundy would get chewed up in this league.
